66 Year old home lady plumber
I bought the husky model with the metal chuck bit to fit my drill. The auger top is also bent to fit around the p-trap. After 2 exhausting days with the hand auger, praying it would work… the vinegar, baking soda, salt, dawn dish soap, every YouTube How to video, this was my final attempt at the under $200 professional plumber ‘fix’. For $200 they snake 25’. I got home, hand uncoiled the first 25 inches and fed that down to the p-trap. Turned the drill on forward, slow speed. Gently it made its way around the p-trap. I felt resistance and should have stopped. The auger had doubled back on itself and was stuck. Put it in reverse and was able to pull out the 5+ feet I had snaked. A GIANT WAD OF HAIR!!! If I can do it, so can YOU! I was going to call a plumber tomorrow but now I’m looking at a better, cheaper day!!!

            You better believe this
I seldom review products not unless I am so impressed by it. The last time I had a plumber to do this cost me $350-400. I want to see if I can solve this myself and save me some money. Bought the drain max gel, it didn’t work. I have no faith with other drain augers but when I saw Husky’s 4.5 star review. I suddenly had the confidence to try it. I have learned to like Husky tools. It is built with quality. Just let the auger wire do its work. It saved me money!!!!

              Works as designed
This manual auger is the next best tool from those spikey hair puller. If the sink drain has the cross with center tread for the stoper this will not work instead you have to remove the p-trap. The 15 feet line is plenty to unclog 1-1/2" to 2" sewer line. The locking lever is better than the push or pull from the other model. It easy to push or pull for up to few feet and it gets harder to push specially if the clogged is really stuck. Otherwise it gets the small job done.

              Handy For Lavatories
I am a professional plumber and its important to know that each size drain has an appropriate sized cable. This 1/4" cable with bulb head is perfect for those small, older drains. It works really well for homes built in the 1960s and prior that had 1 1/4 lead pipes or other small/tight spaces like a tub drain. Its compact and works well and typically 15' is plenty of length for a clog like that!

A tool for the job in your toolbox
Hey ladies and Gentlemen I'm here again today with another review this time I'll be reviewing a plumbing tool, home Depot sent me this the week before Thanksgiving and fortunately even after the holidays I didn't have a need for it, but that doesn't mean it's a bad product as a matter of fact I rented a tool similar to this last year to unplug a clogged pipe in my mother in law house, this is a good quality consumer product, the handle stores for better storage of the tool, plastic housing is durable feeling I think it's fiberglass reinforced plastic

              Get one
This is a must have. Remember that this clears clogs in 1-1/4 to 2 inch drain lines, so this is definitely a high quality item for any homeowner! With rare exceptions, you’ll be able to use this effectively on any sink, shower or tub drains you need to clear. Strong cable, durable impact ready polymer drum-housing and an ergonomic grip handle that feels good in tired hands. I have found that the auger's quick-release cable lock provides me with a fast, simple and secure means of performing cable adjustments. Interestingly, you need to use it in the clockwise direction for best performance. Get it!

Gold Standard for Sink and Drain Cloggs
Husky 1/4 in. x 15 ft. Drum Auger This was a replacement for a cheap piece of junk that broke down on the first use. We have a few people living in the house and over time a stopped sink or drain will happen. A drum auger is the best and easiest way to go for DIY person. This auger is the gold standard. So much so Husky gives a lifetime warranty. No other brand comes close. This is sturdy enough for a handyman with constant use. It comes with complete instructions on how to use it along with a scanning bar printed right on the tool just in case. Get a video right on your cell phone. I have used this a dozen times and it still looks like new. Just rinse it off and wipe it dry before putting it away. This is a newer model with an easy-to-use locking clip. No slippage. You that when you crank in the clockwise direction, the line is moving. Compared to other brands this is much safer and far less likely to spring back at you. Well built. You will not have to replace this even if you use it a lot. The best way to clear cloggs
