1.75 Gal. Texture-Pro Hopper Gun with 3 spray tips

This is a nice tool for my knockdown patch work. It is light enough and maneuverable enough so that it doesn't wear me out on larger knock down jobs.One of the nicer feature of this gun is the air flow control on the end of the gun. With that I didn't have to keep going back to the compressor regulator to get the air/compound mixture where I wanted it. Thinning the mud made the flow smooth and my knockdown patches look great. The gun parts are aluminum and easy to clean-also a nice convenience factor. I hope you find this helpful.

When looking for a new way to do my texture on my drywall ceilings I did not want the standard stomp texture so after some research I found this great tool from Husky. The Husky texture pro was a easy way to make a statement with my new home construction. Comes complete and was easy to assemble. The large 1.75 gallon hopper holds enough drywall mud to do a large room without stopping to refill it comes with several tip sizes to easily change your texture preference from very fine almost popcorn like to heavy blobs which looks great with the knock down I did.The hopper is easy to clean in water along with the gun. I don't spray texture a lot but when I do having a texture hopper is sure convenient. This husky hopper is very nice to use and fit for any texture job. The removable top really helps in cleaning the hopper after every job. It has to be cleaned after each and every use or it will not function properly. I love the pressure valve on the gun because I don't have to adjust the compressor, I can make any fine adjustment to pressure right on the gun. I really like this texture hopper!

In texturing our walls in the addition, using this hopper gun was easy and worked very well. The hopper opening itself is large enough to load a decent amount of mud without having to worry about making a mess. The handle on the top of the hopper makes it easy to help maneuver the gun to where you want the texture sprayed. We first tried to use the hopper without thinning the mud and it worked great. The only issue we had was when the hopper used up the mud we had to shake the hopper a little to get the thicker mud down into the spray nozzle. This was well worth it as we did not have to mess with mixing and thinning. We just used general purpose mud. It took a few passes to get the settings to where we wanted it, but once we were there it went very fast to finish the room. Clean up was very easy. Taking the plastic hopper tank off and removing the tip and tip cap is easy. We just used a water hose to spray out the tank and the nozzle. If there is a negative, it would be the clamp that holds the plastic tank onto the gun. It takes a screw driver to tighten or remove the plastic hopper. I may look into replacing it with a clamp that has a hand clamp to speed up the process. Be sure to tighten the hopper tank enough. When I first put it together I did not have it tight and the hopper fell off when I first put mud into the tank and made a little mess. It was my fault. If you are texturing walls this hopper will do the job great.Easy to use and the end product looks fabulous.

This is a nice texture hopper gun. I like the air valve at the end of the handle. My old hopper gun doesn't have this and I have to use an external air regulator in line with the air hose to control the air flow. The male air fitting that comes with it fits my air system perfectly. The hopper is bigger on this one compared to my old gun. I found that the spray tip with the biggest hole worked best to match the knock down finish that I have in my house. I did a test run with the gun and submitted a photo of the results of the knock down finish. The knock down finish is accomplished by sliding a drywall knife across it.

This texture sprayer is best used for large areas and when full, would probably weigh in excess of 10 pounds. Great for professionals and new construction when a large compressor and 5 gallon pails would be too much. For the DIYer though, probably much too big for simple repairs and patchwork. Well constructed with a hearty and flexible plastic that appears to be strong, but crack-resistant. Convenient on/off valve and quick-connect adapter supplied.

Very light weight(most are) and durable. this is a good size for me. The 3 spray tips are a good option as well. Very light and easy to clean as long as you do it quickly. It does get tiring if you put too much in but you may get used to it. This has a 3 year warranty, but you probably don't need it. Just clean everything well after each use and you should be fine.

Large Capacity! I received my Husky Texture-Pro Hopper Gun today; This is a simple to put together and use hopper gun. This texture gun will spray a variety of materials such as drywall texture, sealant, stucco, and waterproofing. The gun comes with three different tips that will work with most material. The hopper is plastic and holds about 1 and 3/4 gallons of material. Clean up is pretty straight forward and easy on this hopper and gun (although there are no cleaning instructions included in the directions). It takes 6.25 CFM at 20 to 25 psi to operate. Overall, this is easy to operate and easy to clean texture hopper gun.

Commercial quality suitable for a contractor, but can also be used for the serious home DIY'r. I'm the latter of the two. My walls are textured. I tried everything imaginable (sponge, bristle brush, flicking, etc) to blend in current texture with relatively small drywall repairs (patches, corner beads, etc). Nothing worked properly, but this gun does a good job of that. Granted, it does take a bit of practice, but definitely a short learning curve. The hopper on this gun is huge, more suited for the professional doing entire rooms/walls. It's a simple gravity feed, so I'll probably come up with a hopper more the size I need for smaller repairs. I used a 3 hp/8 gal compressor and it worked fine, not big enough for commercial use, but ok for home use. Overall I'm very happy with the results, way better than anything I tried to properly blend repairs with existing wall texture.
