I don't have that issue. It might be that you have not placed the quick disconnect on correctly. If that dosn't work get a new disconnect.

It might work for a small sandblast cabinet. You should check the CFM requirements of your blast equipment and compare it to the machine specs.

Not impressed. Poor quality
Owned it just shy of 2 years. I lost the receipt so no warranty. Electric motor has died. Replacement cost is around $205. I believe I just need new brushes. Cant get the parts. Ive probably pumped up 4 car tires and it is dead. My dad still has his no name brand for 30 years and this one died in less than 2. Very disappointing.

Piece of junk
Bought this compressor 2 years ago to use a paint gun. Used it one other time installing baseboards. Tried to use it last week to assemble a honeybee swarm trap with a nail gun. After running less than 10 minutes, it started sparking and dark grey smoke started pouring out. It shut itself down before I even had a chance to get to it. The replacement part (pump assembly) is $203. And it's not the brushes. The armatures commutator is black and filthy. I certainly don'thave the skill to repair this part of the pump assembly. Unfortunately, my husband doesn't save receipts, and I think it had a two year manufacturer's warranty. So, no receipt and I'm pretty sure we actually bought it in March or April of 2018 so I'm out of luck either way. I do NOT recommend this air compressor unless you consider this to be a disposable item for one or two uses. Smh

Not good when you have to replace parts on new item
Bought this compressor yesterday and for the most part very pleased with the purchase. Its the size I needed and has enough power to do everything I need. When I first got it home and did the prep work when I went to use it the quick disconnect didn't work. I had one in the tool box and it was a quick relacement but why should i need to replace this on a new item I would like to know. Hope this review helps someone else. If you buy it you want to pickup a new quick disconnect along with it to be sure.

OUTSTANDING
There are lots of compressors with less than 175 PSI. Why settle for less? Get the larger tank and higher PSI. This compressor is outstanding bang for the buck. There are better but why go with 230V when this system has met or exceeded my every expectation and requirement without failure.

Came fully assembled in th e box. Packaged very well and no damage. Basically remove the bix, plug it in and turn on. About 9 minutes to fill to 175 lbs Ot is really loud though it holds the pressure with no leakage over 6 days so far. Runs my air impact wrench and ratchet very well. Time will tell how it holds up. I am adding a regulator filter indicator to it Already added a 50 ft hose reel. So far I'm very happy with this compressor. Would recommend for a small shop user. The 4 star rating was based on how loud it is running.

HUSKY MODEL C-201H This compressor has NO filter. Compressors have to inhale air and that air should be filtered, especially if the compressor is operated in a dusty environment. I do vacuum cleaner repairs and cleanings and I use compressed air to blow out dust ... all the time. I wear a dust mask so that I don't breathe in dust. I also work with wood saws and I wear a dust mask so that I don't breathe in wood dust. I figured that after about a year of intermittent compressor use, I should check and (if necessary) clean the air filter on this compressor. Well, guess what??? There is no dust filter. I called Husky "customer service" and the woman I spoke with could NOT find a dust filter on the parts drawing, however, she see a "filter hose", but that hose we inside the pump and motor cover or cowling. The "customer service" woman said she would talk with some technicians and then send me a reply via email. I subsequently received a reply from the same "customer" service woman. The tone of the reply was "I told you so". The woman wrote: "As I had told you on the phone" .. there is a filter tube and also a "canister" that can be unscrewed to clean or replace a filter. Well, not only is there is NO "canister" the "customer service" woman had never even mentioned the word "canister" during our phone conversation. So, I called Husky again and said that I have a Husky C-201H compressor. with no visible air filter. I asked to speak with someone from the the "Technical Department". After a long "hold", I'm connected to a man who said he a "technician", and he tells me that a "previous" model Husky compressor did have a filter, however my model (C-201H) does NOT have a filter. does have a "filter tube" that lives UNDER the pump & motor cover or cowling. I asked the "technician" if the filter tube is cleanable and he tells me that ... " .. after you remove the top off the cowling, you pull out the tube and then you carefully pull a strip of foam out of the tube. Then you clean or wash the foam strip and carefully reinsert it into the tub and push the tube back into the air intake port on the pump." I figured that that would be easy to do. Removing the top or cowling was took less than ten minutes .. but required T20 and T30 Torx head screwdrivers. Inside the cowling was a 1/2" diameter, 6.5" long corrugated plastic tube. It was easy to pull the corrugated tube out of the intake port on the pump .... HOWEVER ... there was NO filter foam inside that tube. so ... NO FILTER . Where is the filter. A compressor like this with NO dust filter is a recipe for problems. My Husky C-201H is out of warranty, but I think Husky should replace it or, at least, give me parts that enable intake air filtering ... and I think that Husky should do the same for every customer who owns a Husky compressor that has no air filter. Who designs a compressor with no air filter???

Response from The Husky TeamMay 7, 2019
The C201H Husky air compressor does not require a conventional air intake filter. This compressor utilizes an inertia filtering system. The intake tube of the pump draws in air through a series of chambers inside the shroud. These chambers do not allow dirt and debris to enter the pump tube. The inertia occurs from the motor fan drawing in high velocity air to cool the motor. The high velocity air moves dirt and debris away from the chambers allowing the intake tube to only draw in clean air. husky-mat

After 38 years, my Brand "B" compressor finally gave up the ghost. It was a 5Hp, 30 Gallon horizontal unit but I really needed something a little smaller and vertical so after going through a ton of reviews, I settled on this one. It delivers all the air I need and is a lot quieter than my old one. After reading other reviews of this compressor, it was apparent that I needed to add an inline filter and a drain extension so I wouldn't have to turn it on its side to drain condensate from the tank. I also found that the quick disconnect fitting was 1/4" and all my hoses & accessories were 3/8" so that needed to be changed. Home Depot has an assortment of fittings for this compressor so I purchased the drain extension and made a bracket from aluminum stock to mount the quarter-turn drain valve after removing the knurled valve that the compressor comes equipped with. (see picture) In order to add an inline filter (also purchased from Home Depot), I would have to install a 4" x 1/4" MPT brass extension pipe so that the filter would (barely) clear the top of the pump. (see picture) To that I added a 3/8" quick disconnect and now I am in business. First thing, check for leaks and there were none. Then measure the time it takes to fill the tank to its capacity and shut off, approximately 8 minutes. First time it would only go up to 150PSI so I drained the tank and filled it again. This time the cutoff came at approximately 180PSI. Then I let the air run down to see what the starting point would be to refill the tank. Came back on at 150PSI and shut off again at 175PSI. Overall, I am very happy with this compressor. It is more compact, vertical in use, has good air pressure for my workshop needs and is quieter than my old one. I did purchase the 2 year extended warranty just in case.
