Great starter set gift. Perfect for the new homeowner or apartment dweller. It is hard to mess up pliers and wrenches. These are a good value.
Keep in mind a professional wrench set will make your bolts and nuts last longer. The adjustable wrenches have a way of working themselves loose.

This set contains three of the most commonly used tools around the house, other than screwdrivers. The adjustable crescent wrench has a metric scale on one side and an SAE scale on the other, showing exactly what the opening is from 0 to 30 mm or 1-1/4 inches. I expect this to be very handy sometimes. There is about 1mm of 'play' which is about average. ++++ The pliers each have a nice but thin rubber coating on the handles which I expect won't last more than a few years. The good news is that all Husky hand tools have a lifetime guarantee. If anything at all should go bad (including the rubber on the handles), you just take it back to any retailer that sells them, and they will give you a new one in exchange at no charge.

These are the main tools (other than a screwdriver set and hammer) that you can't do much without. Husky brand hand tools are always of excellent quality and I have been using them for many years. This 3-piece set (as do all Husky tools) come with a life time warranty, which says a lot about the quality this company believes in. The wrenches come with extra wide jaw capacities, and are heat treated for strength. Each comes with comfort grip handles for non-slip usage. If you're in the market for a few hand tools you won't go wrong with these.

great wrench and pliers set, the pliers have nice and soft black grips on the handles, not too heavy and very easy to handle and use, my only wish is, i wish the wrench would have those same grips,hopefully the way these tools are built, they will last me a lifetime. this is a great set for anyone, from pro to novice to buy ! another great product sold at the home depot!

Husky Pliers and Wrench Set (3-Piece) a great combination.
Three tools that get the most work out are adjustable wrenches, groove pliers, and adjustable jaw pliers. So when the Home Depot offered these, I jumped on them to replace my worn out tools which needed retirement.
The Husky tools come with a life time warranty. Right off the bat, that is great. The wrenches come with extra wide jaw capacities, and are heat treated for strength. Each comes with comfort grip handles for non-slip usage. The tools have heft to them and feel right in your hands.
I am no stranger to Husky Tools. They make a great quality tool, and this wrench set is no exception. I highly recommend them.
I rate these 5*s out of 5.

I needed to replace my toilet seat and needed wrench...
I needed to replace my toilet seat and needed wrench and pliers to work together at the same time. I buy tools and lend them out and don’t get them back. I needed these but didn’t want to pay a lot but also didn’t want a tool that’s crap and will just rust and be useless. These were perfect.
