        A:  Hi Andy you could probably splice a cable with these but it is outside or underground I would not recommend it and would pull new cable instead. Hope that helps Ron at ron.kipper@idealindustries.com

          A:  As sold, it is ready to connect 2 cables together. The connector is bi-directional, doesn't matter which cable is connected to which end. If you had an electrical box or wall plate with a hole in it, you could poke the longer end of the adapter through the hole, and secure it in place with a nut. In that case, you'd need the extra length on one end to accommodate the thickness of the plate and retaining nut.
