    A:  Hello Chris, This model drain could potentially work as you can install this drain into anything that measures about 5" thick, however you also have to take into account the thickness of not only your counter but the sink it is going into as well.         These drains work perfect. Previous drains in the vessel sinks where so slow. Also, these are mounted on a thicker then normal countertop, so the extra length was needed. I did follow the advise of some previous installers to use plumbers putty instead of the top gasket, this worked very well. The included silicon gasket for the top seal is way to thin. But if you use a thicker gasket, you will get water puddling around the drain (previous drains had a thicker gasket). Very happy with the install. Took only 15min to install 2 of them.
