I always prefer to use the same product recommended for the products that I purchase and in this case I was installing it in an new opening and the AC unit recommended the Keystone sleeve. It is very well built, very heavy construction and the AC unit fits into it like a glove.

i used this for a keystone a/c unit and it is essentially a perfect fit ,, as expected ... the sc...
i used this for a keystone a/c unit and it is essentially a perfect fit ,, as expected ... the screws are cheep with philips head that is not deep ,, if you start to screw them into the metal ,, the screw head can strip being hard to screw in ,, as other reviewers has stated ,,, so i then used a drill to work the existing holes and the screws then bit into the metal lot easier without tearing up the screw head ...
all the holes lined up to make the sleeve square, the sleeve outside exact measurements are 25.5" wide, 15.5" high ,, make your wall framing hole to fit that ,, and case depth is 17.5" ..
notice on the inside facing,, the metal is bent to make a lip all around ,, so the a/c unit itself is 24" x 14.5" ,, you will then set and fill the space with foam that you get with the a/c and foam that comes with the sleeve... Notice the lips 1/4" are bigger on the bottom and sides and smaller 1/8" on top to allow fitting the a/c unit in ..see my pictures and the gaps are the same all around with the a/c unit in the sleeve.
