25 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator in PrintShield Black Stainless with Interior Water Dispenser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the KitchenAid French door refrigerator two months ago and I love it! It’s exactly what I wanted and I have no regrets. It’s quiet, efficient and large enough to hold everything I want to put in the fridge and then some. I love the wine rack accessory and the interior water dispenser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator was delivered 3 weeks ago. Loving it so far. Just be aware that the water/ice takes a few days to get working correctly. You’ll have to run several gallons of water through the dispenser to get it up and running. I found this out after finally getting the manual out and reading the instructions. Also I panicked when no water at all was coming through the dispenser. Pulled the refrigerator out to discover the water line was pinched. Smooth sailing ever since then. I hope to continue to be pleased over the years ahead!

Purchased this refrigerator in March of 2017. We absolutely love the look of this fridge. Was the exact look and price point we were looking for. Initially, we loved the room and versatility. Love the bottom freezer and ice maker. After the first year and the one year warranty expiring, everything has gone down hill. The seal attached to the right hand door (between the two doors) has come completely off. Called KitchenAid and we missed the one year warranty window by 3 days. Essentially customer service told us sorry about your luck. Some time after that the fridge could no longer hold a correct temp. Whatever temperature we would set it at was most definitely not correct as we would have things in the fridge freezing when the temperature said 38 degrees. Bought a fridge thermometer and now watch that while constantly adjusting the temperature. It’s roughly 4-5 degrees off, but still consistently making those adjustments to keep things from freezing. I absolutely hate the exposed styrofoam inside the fridge as spills are impossible to thoroughly clean off. Now most recently the bar between and holding up the produce drawers snapped. We glued it (as I can imagine the price for a replacement!). It’s holding for now, although I do not expect that to last long unless we put nothing in them. Overall, this refrigerator, while beautiful, has been super frustrating. If you want lasting quality and good customer service, I would not recommend this product. We try hard to take care of things, as it’s always a sacrifice when we buy new. I’m including pictures to try and show that we do that.

Love this fridge!

The refrigerator has an appealing look on the outside and the LED lights inside light it up better than our previous model it replaced, which was 11 years old having some system failures. The KitchenAid's two vegetable/fruit drawers are poorly designed so they do not stay shut, opening/closing one can cause the other to crack open. For the sliding drawer on the righthand side to pull out all the way you need to have both doors open, the left side is not that way. Neither issue did we have on the previous French Door model we had. Both of these issues for me just point to a poor design by the manufacture which I am not happy to relay. I am hoping this evidence of poor design doesn't carry thru to the functional side of the refrigerator but only time will make that clear. Had been unable to see a model on the floor so had to buy site unseen, was hoping that made in America would of brought a higher quality (under KitchenAid brand) or at least equal to others that I could see on display. From what I had read in the reviews of the competing models this one seemed my best hope for having something that would be less prone to problems. Wish I could give a review 10-15 years from now, if we make it to 15 years I would give it a 4 star rating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a week ago after our old fridge died. I did quite a lot of research and I’m quite particular. Features I love include the ability to open each crisper individually, without having to open both sets of french door. Meaning if you want something out of the left crisper you only have to open the left door and that crisper drawer has enough space to pull out completely. My former fridge did not. You had to open both doors to access a crisper. I have not used the retracting half shelf yet but seems like a cool feature. Love the removal plastic liners that are in the bottom of the gallon milk bins. Makes for easy cleaning. My only tiny complaint is that some of the interior shelves have a stainless steel finish yet other trim pieces have the generic white plastic trim. The KA Platinum Series that we looked at features an all platinum trim which is gorgeous but comes with a big sticker price. Even my husband, who’s a dude, noticed and commented on how beautiful the interior looked with the stainless steel trim. Honestly if Kitchen Aid would make that standard in their interiors they’d sell a gazillion more than their competition. Last but not least is the interior water dispenser. Love it. I purposely looked for fridges that did not have that ugly exterior dispenser. It seems like water splashes around and inevitably runs down the front doors. Always messy. Having it inside is a dream. The water filter does the trick too. Our tap water is highly chlorinated and the filter removes the taste and smell of it entirely. All in all a great choice. Plus it coordinates with all my other Kitchen Aid appliances.
