The detailed specifications say the refrigerator depth is 33” with handles, 33” withou handles and 33” without doors. Obviously that can’t be true. My doors are standard doors and the opening is 31 and 1/2”. What is actual depth without handles or doors?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very attractive unit. I love that it measures fluids and lets you how many ounces you are at when getting water. Nice feature! Shelving is a little awkward making it difficult to make large items fit. I have had this fridge for 3 months and so far so good. Purchased without physically seeing the unit. Only saw as counter depth on the storeroom floor

                    Temperatures Unreliable and too high
The fridge has been plugged in for about a week or so and already both the Refrigerater compartment and the Freezer compartment will not hold temperature. When set at 34 F, the lowest temp the refridgerator compartment gets is 47.8 F (2 thermometers) but it fluxuates up to 57 F When set at -2, the lowest temp the freezer compartment gets is 9 F (2 thermometers) but it fluxuates up to 11 F. I'm waiting and hoping to get a call back for service.

                      Overall nice with couple flaws
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My refrigerator is very nice overall. There continues to be moisture on the bottom seal between the refrigerator and freezer. I have to wipe it everyday. It’s done that way since day one. To pull out the right shelf, you have to open both doors. Not a great design. My last refrigerator was built with that in mind. Open only one door to pull out shelf.

                        Quality
Our model KRFF577KPS02 went out shy of 3 years of purchasing it. I thought Kitchenaid was high end of the medium quality refrigerators. They do not warranty their product for more than a year or two? I am extremely disappointed with the refrigerator. They are supposed to last around 9 years from what I’m told.

                          Stay away
KitchenAid is over priced and shouldn’t be considered a quality brand. For our new home We bought the entire kitchen as kitchen aid and this was the biggest regret of our build. These appliances should be the lowest priced, as all we’ve had is issues with them. The refrig ice maker never worked properly and has been replaced twice. The freezer drawer gaskets are screwed up and we routinely end up with wasted product from freezer burn or thawed product. Plastic flimsy Freezer drawers both broke in first 6 months If you lose power it doesn’t turn back on, expect to have to reset hopefully not losing all your food. Also found times we didn’t lose power and it shut off anyways. Stay away from this brand. We have the similar unmitigated issues with the other kitchen aid appliances. Joke with everyone that comes over is they are named correctly. They always need some sort of aid to work properly.

Poorly designed product, worst customer service
For some reasons I have not had much luck with Kitchen Aid. This is my 3rd and last KC purchase. I wanted luxury and reliability after my Whirlpool fridge gave out. Right out of the box it would not produce any ice but the water dispenser worked. I called home depot immediately and they set up a service call with Whirlpool appliance repair partner but the earliest time available was 1 month out. We were in October 2025. When they came in November they had no idea why it wouldn't produce ice especially since the water dispenser worked. So they called Whirlpool who couldn't do much. They blamed it on some control board and ordered the part. They came back a month later, replaced the part asked I wait 24-48h. Still NO ICE and now NO WATER. The came back said they had no idea but ordered some other part. The new technician assured it should work in 24-48h and if it didn't, it would be a problem with my water line that they cannot touch. Yes the new hose I was recommended to purchase at home Depot with this new appliance would be the problem? Still no ice, no water. In between the service technicians would schedule appointments I was not aware and would show up at our door unannounced and somehow have my number to call. But since we have jobs no one is ever home when they just showed up and they would leave. After service #3, with no resolution I was really getting impatient. I called to complain to Whirlpool. The supervisor I got escalated to, upon request, matter-of-factly explained they cannot compensate me for the inconvenience, the time wasted or the high dollar spent on this "luxury appliance" to get subpar service and a defective product. No apologies was offered, no solutions attempted other than another service call and wait and see. How dare I bother them with such small issues? I am currently at service call 4-5 excluding the missed ones, it's March 2026. I am currently waiting for visit#6 (?) when they'll replace the entire ice and water mechanism at least so I understood. I am sure they will drag this problem until the product is out of warranty and tell me it's my problem and there is nothing more they can do. Hard earned money and days wasted on the big giants who care about their bottom line only. Customer service is not important anymore. I've seen replies to these reviews from Whirpool directing you to yet another robot, a link, a facebook page! Crazy!!! Is anyone at Whirlpool interested in getting customer satisfaction right? Too many reviews about this appliance and its ice maker and many other things that are wrong with it. 3 out of 3 products I bought have had issues and may be a tell tale sign. You need to do better and stop reaping customers. We are working harder everyday for this money and we could use the quality product you are promising to have us buy.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the concerns you are experiencing with the low ice production in your Refrigerator. We value our customers and are committed to ensuring our products meet high standards. We have included information that we hope is helpful: Ice Maker Troubleshooting Checklist Ice Production Rate: Perform an Ice Cube Count Test (empty bin, wait 24 hours). The normal production range is 56–72 cubes. New Installation: Allow 24 hours for ice production to start and three days for full production. Water Filter Status: Installation: Ensure the filter is correctly installed and sealed. If water dispenses after removing the filter, it was installed improperly and must be reinstalled. Flushing: Flush the system after replacing/installing the filter to remove air and carbon, which can cause small/hollow cubes. If your model has no dispenser, fill and discard three full ice containers. Replacement: Replace the filter every 6 months (or when the indicator light comes on) as a clogged filter reduces water flow and ice production. Water Line: Verify the refrigerator is connected to a cold water supply using 1/4" soft copper or PEX tubing. Check for and straighten any kinks in the water supply line to restore adequate flow/pressure. Do not push the refrigerator too far against the wall. Finish peeling
I've had this refrigerator for about 3 years. I just noticed what looked like Rust on the front of the ice dispenser. When I tried to clean it, a plastic film started to peel off. I read that smudge resistant stainless steel has a protective film that can get moisture under it and start to peel. Apparently, that remedy is to replace the door. This is the door that contains the ice, water and controls. I haven't priced it yet but im sure it's not worth it to replace. I paid top dollar for this refrigerator 3 years ago and as soon as my warranty lapsed this started.

Please ensure the following prior to delivery:

                                    • Water connection kit required
                                    • 110V-grounded, 3-prong electrical outlet
                                    • Water valve (shutoff) within 6 ft. of hook up
                                    • Measure the delivery path and new appliance area to make sure that your refrigerator will fit perfectly
                                    • Verify your existing electrical and water connections
                                    • Empty & unplug your old refrigerator
