About This Product
Klein Tools CL800 Electrical Tester is an automatically ranging true root mean squared (TRMS) digital clamp meter that measures AC/DC voltage, resistance, continuity, frequency, capacitance, and tests diodes via test-leads, and temperature via a thermocouple probe. It also features a Low Impedance (LoZ) mode for identifying and eliminating ghost or stray voltages. Klein Tools' Test and Measurement product line was exclusively designed from the ground up by electricians for electricians. I have this meter, it won't turn on anymore. Changed the batteries. Is there a fuse somewhere to replace?
None of Klein Tools' clamp meters have replacement fuses. If your item falls within our warranty period, please contact us for replacement. Otherwise, we recommend the updated CL810 600A AC/DC Auto-Ranging TRMS Clamp Meter with Worklight as a replacement.
What's the minimum amperage you can test with the clamp
The Klein Tools Cat. No. CL800 Digital Clamp Meter, AC Auto-Range TRMS, Low Impedance (LoZ), Auto Off can measure both AC/DC current from 10mA-600A, as does the updated model, Cat. No. CL810.
Will this show multiple errors at once. For example if a receptacle is ungrounded and hot/neutral wires reversed?

When the "MAX/MIN" button is pressed, the meter keeps track of the Maximum and Minimum values and the difference between the Maximum and Minimum values as the meter continues to take samples. 1. When measuring, press "MAX/MIN" button to toggle between the Maximum value (MAX) and the Minimum value (MIN). If a new Maximum or Minimum occurs, the display will update with the new value. 2. Press "MAX/MIN" button for more than one second to return to normal measuring mode.
