Do the test leads include the little aligator clamps or just the straight pins?

I’ve looked but i cant tell based on the pictures.

do clamp meters clamp around th live wire?

I believe you should find a professional if you are asking this question. If you do not know the clamp is for live wires, what are you going to do with the information it gives you. Electricity has no smell and can not be seen but it will kill you.

I’d probly return it had I paid retail. Does it’s job, the non contact voltage detector is my biggest issue with this meter. Otherwise I’d give it 4 stars.

As soon as you zero next to the cable and then clamp the cable the amperage reading starts to drift even though the current is steady. Did not work for me.
