Worked Great for the Shop!
I used this for the walls in my 30’x40’ shop. This worked perfectly as my walls are framed with 2x6s running horizontally and spaced 24” on center. Two pallets (24 rolls) were sufficient to insulate all the walls which are 16ft tall.

So easy to install!
We are first time home owners, and one of our first big DIY projects was insulating the attic. The Knauf Insulation comes in 16”x48” batts, which made installation a breeze. We were able to insulate the whole attic in one afternoon. Our friends and family were so impressed!! We owe it all to this quality product! Highly recommend.

I used this in my crawl space and it was wonderful! It was super compressed, so simple to transport home in my car, and when I cut the package to open up, each batt pulled apart easily and expanded quickly. I cut them pretty easily with just a regular exacto knife. Press fit the batts into the space and held them with some tiger teeth. Made a nice difference, and looks pretty too (not sure how often I'll go admire my insulation, but hey). Very easy to work with - I was wearing a protective suit, but did not notice any fiberglass flying around like some of the old stuff I removed. It stayed together really well while I was cutting and move it into place. Finally, a shout out to the "how much do I need" calculator on the HD page where I ordered this - I measured my area, entered the measurements, bought what they recommended and had exactly the right amount! No waste, no excessive left over. I was super impressed. :)

We order by the truckload
I’m an insulation contractor with a few crews and we install anywhere from 25-40 truckloads of Knauf insulation per year. For years it has been our preferred brand for a few reasons. It is a very consistent material throughout which makes it cut more cleanly and install more smoothly. Other brands we have tried have actually had chunks of unprocessed glass in them. Others fall apart as you try to handle the pieces. It is a smoother fiber which makes it less unpleasant to handle. Other brands feel rougher. We also love that it is greenguard certified as well as the high recycled content. Overall this all translates into a better installation experience, which enhances the job outcome and makes a Grade 1 install more consistently achievable, and that’s what is best for our customers’ comfort and energy performance. We are proud to install this material.

I have purchased 3 bags of this product to use in my historic home make-over. I have found that many of the bats in each bag have the kraft paper glued off-center by 3/4" to 1", which leaves as little as 1/4" to staple to the stud. Normal application would allow stapling two adjacent insulation bays to be stapled with one stapling run. Pulling the paper over to staple it, reveals a kraft paper that is thinner, thus weaker than other brands, which then either tears off, or pulls away from the batt. This is annoying and does not speak to a quality product, for the fairly steep price that is paid. If I were working with this on a commercial site, accommodating this defect would cost extra time/money, or would result in a lower quality vapor-barrier and work!
On the up-side, I like, very much, that this material is far less itchy to work with than the pink product.
