Questions & Answers

What's the difference between the Korky Flapper model No. 54BP and 54CM?

The model that we've used in our toilet with no issues is 54BP, but this model is 54CM. I want to make sure we purchase the right one.
Asked by: NR
The original #54BP came with a collar that was cut off unless used for a brass flush valve. Home Depot web site lists #54CM but in the store it is the #54BP minus the collar.

HOW TO INSTALLE TOLIT FLAPPER VALVE

Asked by: Tommyt
I'm a 66 yr old woman, If I can, you can. 1) Buy your replacement. Then turn off the water to the tank. clockwise. (Righty-tighty, Lefty loosey) Right is clockwise, left is counterclockwise. 2) Remove the old one. Unhook the chain from the upper bar, the new one should have come with a new chain. Unhook the flapper, they just slip off/on on either side. 3) Reverse all that. Put on the new flapper, hang the chain, turn the water back on. Your done.
