Works great, much better than traditional plungers
HET, or high efficiency toilets - are not fun to plunge if you have a traditional style/shape plunger. The traditional plungers just cannot create a seal around the odd shaped HET egress. This is where a HET compatible plunger like the Korky Beehive plunger really helps clear clogs. Just follow the simply instructions of inserting it on an angle and slowly allow it to form a seal. Then somewhat gently, begin plunging a few times, back it out, and test flushing. There really is no need to exert a lot of force during plunging with this Beehive, unlike the traditional plungers. I bought this one and tossed my old traditional style plunger since all of our toilets are now HET. You can see an example of what a HET egress flush path looks like with the picture I attached. A word about HET's: Toilets are officially HET's if they use 1.6 gallons of water or less per flush. Need even more frustration in your life when trying to cleanly flush a toilet? Be aware that all toilet manufacturers are moving towards standardizing on toilets that use 1.28 GPF, or less. The use of plungers will become more and more of a common occurence. HET's are a great idea, but when you have to flush it 2 or 3 times to clear the bowl contents, the idea becomes questionable and the plunger becomes a necessity.

Does the job
Didnt realize what piece of crap my old plunger was till i brought this home. Customers who say the rubber collapses i believe aren’t plunging right - yes there is a technique to plunging and pushing the handle all the way down isn’t it. They must have slightly changed the design since the reviewer who complained about water getting sucked into the handle.... yes its hollow but there’s a barrier that wouldn’t allow the water up. My bowl is slightly elongated from round, but not extreme like the new toilets. Fit and sealed beautifully and believe it would be fine on the HET ones as well, as the rubber is flexible. Will buy another one for the second toilet upstairs when i go back to HD to return the auger i ended up not needing. We have a nice plumber but won’t be calling him this time.

We had the inexpensive, nice looking plunger that fell apart (split) and had to replace. Figured that we should get one that was more robust so we got this and it really did the job. Note: we kept the brush and station that came with our original decorator styled brush and plunger combo. Perhaps Beehive may want to make a heavy duty combo unit...plunger and brush?

It unclogged toilet where other methods failed
I tried a regular plastic bellows plunger (no flange), hot water, soap, Drano on my clogged elongated 2 month old Kohler toilet... none worked! This worked within a minute of trying... could not believe it was so easy with the "right" tool. I picked this over others available in store because of its rubber construction... that definitely helped get a better seal to make plunging effective. I suppose the "beehive" design was also instrumental.

I literally just bought this plunger at THD about 15 minutes ago--I'm already back home and the horrible clog is cleared! It took about five plunges to clear, although probably three of those were user error and I didn't have a good angle, so let's say two good plunges to clear the clog. I had been working for an hour last night and again this morning to clear it with an old, basic plunger that was doing nothing. BUY THIS!

I tried an old plunger. I tried baking soda and vinegar, I tried dish soap and hot water. Five minutes after walking through the door with this plunger the clog was gone. We have a new Kohler Wellworth 1.28 gpf toilet and as good as it works one extra large system download clogged it. This plunger sealed the opening and unclogged the toilet. Thanks to the two guys at my University Home Depot. They pulled the ladder down the aisle and restocked from the steel shelves. While I was waiting one associate taught me how to properly use my auger. I appreciated both of their willingness to help.

This plunger worked better than any other plunger I have tried. I like the fact that it doesn't splash water when you plunge.

            It works!
This plunger works. It works in our Kohler Cimmaron 1.28 gallons per flush toilets that do not have a round outlet to the bowl. Other plungers do not seal the outlet, and they take a lot of plunging to dislodge a blockage. This plunger immediately seals the outlet and pushes the liquid out of the bowl. It has a good plastic handle that screws into the base to assemble it. The plastic handle has a horizontal T at the end for pushing and pulling that is handy, and my other plungers do not have that feature. The rubber bottom of the plunger seems to fit into the opening of the bowl and each time you push on it it forces liquid out of the bowl, so that after five pushes the bowl is empty, and even before that the clog is moved along. The rubber bottom is black, which doesn’t show dirt or anything on the rubber. I would prefer a red color like my other plungers, or any color that would show a substance on the rubber so that I could be aware of it and clean it off. This plunger works.
