Wax Free Toilet Seal Kit

  • The easiest and cleanest way to install a toilet and fix leaks
  • Say goodbye to messy wax - no wax, no mess
  • Easy to install
  • See More Details

Product Overview

The WaxFREE Seal Kit is a cleaner alternative to using a wax ring during toilet installations. As temperatures fluctuate, the consistency of a wax ring can range from a sticky mess to a hardened block. The WaxFREE Seal Kits rubber exterior creates a tight seal between the floor and the toilet. The two-piece foam interior adapts to fit flanges that are above, even with and below finished floors, with absolutely no mess. Another great benefit of the WaxFREE Seal Kit is its ability to be repositioned during installation. A wax ring can be ruined and must be replaced if the toilet is not set properly on the first try. The user-friendly Wax free toilet gasket allows for multiple toilet setting attempts. Resistant to harsh chemicals, the WaxFREE Seal Kit is manufactured with the same proprietary red Chlorazone that is found in all Korky premium red flappers. Easy to install, the 6000 includes: (1) Toilet Gasket, (1) Set of Hardware and (1) Instructions.

Questions & Answers

How does the red rubber seal on any closet flange? Do I have to clean the closet flange ring Or fill the holes with Patty?

Asked by Scotty January 16, 2021

The seal works great. No additional product was needed. Just follow the instructions.

Will this work with a flange that is recessed 3/4"?

Asked by Blitzman October 23, 2020

you can superimpose 2 Korky seals.

The mounting bolts look short in the picture. How long are they?

Asked by Katoman September 13, 2020

For my installation, the bolts are too long (desirable) and I needed to cut them after installation was completed.

Will this work with a rear mount American Standard 4inch wall drain ?

Asked by Steve July 11, 2020

Thanks for your interest in Korky. Unfortunately, we do not recommend the 6000BM Korky WaxFREE Seal Kit for wall mounted toilets. If you have additional questions, please call 1-800-528-3553 or email sales@lavelle.com to speak with our Technical Support team. We are available Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM CST.

This has foam above the rubber. Isn't foam porous which will lead to smells and bacteria brewing ...

Asked by cathie June 8, 2020

I remember reading that the rings are made to avoid issues with smells and bacteria

Is this wax ring reuseable it I have remove the toitlet after testing the flushing?

Asked by mk April 2, 2017

It states that you can but you increase the chances of a leak by reusing this seal after seating the toilet. I've used multiple wax free seal kits and they have all leaked sooner or later and have caused water damage. Do yourself a favor and return any wax free seal kits and purchase a wax ring (or two) and you won't regret it. Sure, it's a little bit of scraping if you need to remove it later but it's worth the 10-15 minutes. Professional plumbers will recommend only using wax rings for a long-term solution on sealing your toilet during an installation. Hope this helps.

Awesome! Easy!
First toilet leak DIY ever. It comes with the bolts and extra black foam pad to double stack if you need it. No worries about messing it up for better realignment like I hear for wax seals. Remove, scrape, shop vac and dry the old mess and be ready to break out old rusted bolts. The job was perfect. It works.

This thing is awesome! I just used it for a customer who had a first floor toilet mounted on a wooden floor that was less than 3/8” above the closet flange. The previous wax ring done by the home owner had broken and started leaking badly. The installation was super quick and easy, but if you’re not sure what you’re getting into as far as the height from the closet flange to the toilet I’d suggest buying two of these so you don’t have to run out to the store in the middle of the installation because you need an additional layer of support foam. Also it comes with a fresh set of toilet bolt screws, plastic washers to hold the screws upright for ease of installation and nuts and washers to secure the toilet. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately I was so happy to get the toilet reinstalled I didn’t take a photo after I used this ring.

Much better than wax
I hate using the wax seals because they are so messy. It is more expensive than a wax seal but worth it is my opinion. If you are not very experienced in installing toilets it is really easy to trash a wax seal by mistake and have to buy a new one. You can also take some of the layers of this seal off if you don’t need as much height, see photograph.

Much better than wax seals
Having already fixed and installed a replacement wax seal, I vowed to never go that route again. The wax free seal is a great upgrade if you ever have a wax seal fail. I didn't realize how horribly uneven and poorly installed the closet flange was until I had the toilet mounted on the rubber seal. Luckily since I didn't go with a wax seal, I was able to remove the toilet, replace the flange, and reinstalled over the seal without spending additional money or cleaning up another messy wax seal. The instructions are clear and easy to understand.

Worked well as advertised.I needed two seals since the waste pipe flange was tilted. No leaks, loops for toilet bolts on the ring seal kept the seal aligned with toilet and flange.
