A:  Yes, this lever can be installed on exterior doors. All Kwikset finishes are tested for durability in all weather conditions. For product maintenance, we suggest using warm, soapy water to clean it and then towel-dry the hardware. To protect the finish you can polish the lever with carnauba wax. We do not recommend using solvents nor harsh chemicals, which will void the finish warranty.

          High quality door handle
          This door handle is matte black and is high quality. It feels heavy to the touch. It comes with all the parts pictured including the striker. I plan on buying more for the rest of the house. Very easy to install for my husband.

              Sleek. Elegant. Gives the house a very modern and European feel. These handles installed directly into our existing doors without a problem. The kit comes with everything you need, the instructions are decent but not super clear. One bit of advice to make life easier, use the provided Allen wrench to remove the actual handle from the base so you can work with a power drill to screw the screws in. They're pretty long and you'll be sitting there forever with a regular screw driver.

                This door latch by Kwikset is very well made, sturdy and made of a very heavy metal. This is the fourth one I have installed in my house and I will be replacing all of my doors with this particular latch. The square design is very contemporary and it is easier to open doors with a latch than with a doorknob, when your hands are full. I have dark wood doors in my house and the satin nickel really pops. A bit more expensive but when it comes to household Hardware, like a door knob or latch, you get what you pay for!
