A:  You would need a 240V outlet, depending on which unit your ordered, (NEMA 6-20 / NEMA 10-30), the outlet would be slightly different.

          Better than the one that came with my Kia

            Works great, comes with a case
            This charger arrived in a very nice case, although this added value is not advertised. It works for my new RAV4 Prime, so I expect it would work for any electric or plug-in vehicle capable of Level 2 charging in US. I confirm that it works with my old 3-prong 240V outlet used by an old dryer that I luckily have located in my garage. Now, I want to sell my original Level 1 charger that came with the new car.
