Product Overview

  • Commercial Strength Blacktop Driveway Filler Sealer
  • Polymer Fortified
  • EZ Stir, Non Skid Formula
(Note: If product is not available to order in your area that is due to nighttime temperatures. Product may not cure and/or track in late Fall and early Spring applications). 1-Pallet (36-Pails) of Latex-ite 4.75-Gal. Airport Grade Driveway Filler Sealer is an asphalt emulsion based low VOC driveway sealer designed to beautify and protect your blacktop driveway. Airport grade is a non-skid formula that will fill hairline (1/8 in. or less) cracks and is polymer fortified for added durability. Helpful Hints before you seal your driveway: 1. Flip pails over night prior to doing job (it will be much easier to mix in the morning and will ensure consistency during application). 2. Do the project all at one time without starting and stopping. 3. Check the weather and make sure no rain is forecast and it is at least 55°F at night (a cold driveway will not allow the sealer to cure properly). 4. Check latexite.com for further tips and How To Videos.
  • 4-year warranty
  • Coverage on smooth or previously sealed driveways 400-500 sq. ft. per pail
  • Coverage on rough, porous or unsealed driveways 300-400 sq. ft. per pail
  • Remember: clean your driveway thoroughly so sealer will bond and make sure you do not seal when it is cold outside, it must be at least 55° at night for sealer to properly cure and last
  • Do not seal in early spring or late fall as the sealer will not last - it will not cure properly and may track
  • Ideal for sealing hairline cracks in asphalt or blacktop driveways and walkways
  • Polymer fortified for strength and flexibility
  • EZ-stir save time, non skid
  • Low VOC, coal tar free, soap and water cleanup
  • Assurance: we stand behind our warranty - it is not prorated
  • California residents see Prop 65 WARNINGS

Is this product liquid only or does it have sand in it? and can i use a hard broom?

Is there sand in this or is it purely liquid
Asked by: Nickthegreek
I'm not aware of any sand, but the bucket is heavy, at least for my age. It's extremely easy to mix with nothing collecting at the bottom. I just bought another bucket for a second driveway. It spreads and dries really good.

Customer Reviews

4.75 Gal. Airport Grade Asphalt Driveway Filler Sealer (36-Pails / Pallet ) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 152.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from far better results than expected I have a back yard driveway and everyone that I discussed it with said I should just tear it up and have it repaved. I got estimates for over $5000.00 because it got water under it and when it froze up it lifted and cracked the heck out of it. so I decided to go with the advise of my girlfriends dad and brush sand into the cracks and use this top coating . I have to say that the true results will prevail thru the winter but right now it looks like it was repaved. and it sealed very well. So far the rain hasn't leaked thru. Now I also learned that the driveway hasn't been sealed in over ten years. so I was willing to gamble with the sealer even if it doesn't hold up thru the winter I will do it again next year and the year after until its perfect. I wouldn't recommend using their calculator, they said I would need 4 buckets and I ended up using thirteen for two very generous coats on a 13' x 80 ' driveway. it truly looks like a new driveway. I love it for now. I will update my review after the winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Latex-ite 4.75 Gal. Airport Grade Driveway Filler Sealer with... The Latex-ite 4.75 Gal. Airport Grade Driveway Filler Sealer with a three year warranty did an excellent job of covering our driveway. For the price and warranty I believe we have received our moneys worth. For first time users of driveway sealer, PLEASE, make sure you thoroughly stir the product before use as well as during use. The sealer poured, spread, and was able to be applied on easily. We applied the product with the temperature in the mid 80's and the product had dried enough to walk on it in 2 hours. Because the surface of the driveway was some what irregular we used a roller to apply the product. We also did not allow vehicle traffic for 48 hours. The product was completely dried after two days and we have allowed vehicle traffic in the drive after 48 hours. The product has held up perfectly to heavy traffic use. Yes, I would recommend this product to anyone interested in re-coating their drive. PS. This product cover the entire driveway so that the entire drive is now the same color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Oh how I wish I could get the stinky coal-tar stuff again Airport Grade ?? ... no wonder I hate going to airports. My 700 sq ft driveway is in the Northeast ... it snows in the winter and freezing rain is not uncommon. The stuff will hold up for a year or two, but it never lasts 8 years. The last application was a year ago, and I am prepping the driveway for another application this year (I only apply between Memorial Day and Labor Day to ensure that the stuff "bakes" after spreading; crack filler is used a minimum of 1 month before this stuff). In general, it is OK ... and for the price, it is reasonable. For this location, it seems to be about the most durable. Neighbor across the street had a "pro" do her driveway last year, at the same time that I did 2 coats of this stuff last year ... my driveway has held up as well as hers, if not better. Would I rave about this stuff? .... No. Will I probably use it again? ... Yes.

The only thing I did to prepare my driveway was sweep it thoroughly. I stirred the sealer very well and poured it directly to the driveway in manageable sections. Then applied it with a 19" roller. Only use a squeegee if your driveway is perfectly even. I think the directions say to wait 24 hours before driving onto your driveway. Well, I live in Miami and the Sun is extremely hot here. It was completely dry in four hours (2 coats) and I drove on it after 8 hours. Just make sure to spread it like your painting a wall, don't try and finish the job with 1 coat. I used 2 coats. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Did not cover as much area as stated on the label, but my driveway is older and had a lot of wear so that was to be expected. One thing I did notice was that consistency between buckets varied somewhat (bought 10 buckets), most seemed about the same, but some were definitely thicker and didn't cover as much area and some were definitely thinner and obviously covered more area, but I am concerned with the durability of the product out of the 'thinner' buckets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's Driveway Filler Time! I've had Asphalt driveways for 40 years and the bottom line is you are going to do this every one to two years. While I've tried them all sand filler, premium, on and on they all for me seem to last the same amount of time, one reason is my driveway gets a lot of traffic (turn around at a dead end), so this product hands down is the easiest to apply of all of the products that I've used, so that's a heck of a lot. Also, invest in a good large squeegee and a stiff floor brush to apply, plus just make sure you wash it out before this product dries on it.
