A:  It is 2.25" deep.

A:  Yes. It comes with the grey box you see and that middle thing. All you have to buy is another blue remodel box outlets and faceplates for them, and Then you can add an a/v face plate that fits your needs to the other one. You can put em in any configuration.

A:  Yes, you can do a variety of installations. It may require additional outlet boxes to insert into the wall box for your noted installation style.

A:  Yes. The 3 rectangular cutouts in the 3 gang box allow attaching more than one "old work" style box (I used Carlon brand on the 1 gang recessed wall box). The 3 gang box came with one gray color "old work" box and one large brush plate. A Carlon brand old work box will fit.

A:  This 3-gang box is designed to be cut into finished Drywall. If there is a metal box that you can secure to the existing hole in the 3-gang box(which is thin plastic), you should be able to do it. NOTE: A Plastic Box for OLD WORK has TABS on it to secure it to the existing hole in the 3-gang box. Please be aware that the center box hole is parallel with the surface of the existing wall but recessed about 1.5 inches, while the 2 side box holes are at a slant. I have used a deep plastic box for the electrical connection in one of the slanted side holes & drilled a hole in the back corner of the plastic box ; Installed a metal box connector that I ran 12/2 w gnd flex cable to. You can use thin wall conduit but you will have to be very accurate in measuring for the holes in the box and any wall plate or stud you have to go thru. Dave Barr

A:  Honestly I believe you could. I was able to actually install mine on the wall under my stairs so it was very easy for me because I had plenty of space. The only problem I think you would run into is depth of the boxes and wall space. If your wall is all framed out I would recommend purchasing and doing a dry fit to see. Worst case scenario is you’d have to return it.
