Yes but don't do it... Use the screws, the push in gives you a razor blade thickness of contact, the screws give you obviously much much more... The push in system is a short cutting system for Contractors looking for speed over quality... bad connections lead to arcing, arcing leads to fire... In a few years, Electricians are going to realize that the main reason for AFCI "problems" IS the push in wiring...
No, tamper resistant receptacles will be marked with a "TR" on the face and will have little shutters covering the slots.
Noah, the outlet should be compatible with both copper and aluminum but this is a question for the manufacturer.
I have seen outlets painted with latex paint. I do not recommend painting with any paint. While they will most likely continue to function satisfactorily they very well could be a shock hazard. In particular enamel paint would more likely present itself as a shock hazard as enamel implies metal which could contact the hot lead making a path through a body to ground.I am not an electrical inspector, but I am an electrical engineer and I believe painting outlets with any paint is unseemly and presents a risk as a shock hazard. I tend to replace them when I find them painted. If they are dirty one could consider cleaning with a damp cloth but the circuit breaker needs to be de-energized and checked to insure voltage is not present prior to cleaning same.
Commercial Grade 15 amp receptacles have the pressure plates for the back wire feature. HD sells them.
No, it doesn't come in 10 pack.
