Questions & Answers

How many lights in a 40 x 60 shed with 15ft ceilings?

Asked by: Bsig
I would suggest 8 on 4 switches then you can light up what you need and not waste energy. That is what i have in my 55 x 75 shop but I have 20" cielings. So each will light less area with lower cielings.

I have a 25x26 metal carport how many lights should I put in to get me very well lighted

Asked by: Gary
Since this model is apparently not available without the holes in the reflectors, it would not be suitable for that use. You would need to choose a different model which is available without the holes in the reflectors and is therefore, suitable for mounting directly on the ceiling. If you want to illuminate the garage, the plastic wrap arounds are probably the best choice.

If you r power supply is 277vac you use the red wire if not just tuck it into the fixture.

Is there a diagram for adding a wire plug to this lighting fixture?

I would like to mount this fixture on a moveable stand, but I have zero experience with wiring, any advise or resource you can provide is greatly appreciated!
Asked by: Wire guy
no wiring diagram but it is straight forward. for 110v wire the black to the black wire on your cord or plug in white to white and green to ground. I suggest buying an inexpensive extension cord and cutting off the female end to use. it is usually cheaper than buying wire and a plug end.

Lighting is alot better than the two existing 100 watt light bulbs spread 8 ft apart. Simple install. Will add another one at a later date. Once we see how it proves it self. The only concern was there was no paper work with the fixture.

While the fixture was ok, it would only be usable in a garage/workshop that has at least a 10 foot ceiling. The instructions call for it to hang 8"-12" from the ceiling. They say that you can not attach it directly to the ceiling. For what I paid for it, I can go purchase 3 8', 4 tube fixtures that can be attached directly to the ceiling. This is not a very good product for garages that have the standard 8 foot ceilings.

The bulbs last me 3 years. The accessory to this light fixture.. the motion sensor unit that can go with this is flawless. Iv'e had 1 bad thing to say about this light, but all lights will have that problem. The ballast went out at year 5. I replaced it in 1 hour & 15 minutes. It was not hard, but wasn't easy (but definitely doable). Buy it for your garage, it will give you endless light!
