Skylark LED+ Dimmer Switch for Dimmable LED and Incandescent Bulbs, 150W LED/Single-Pole or 3-Way, White (SCL-153PR-WH)

Great dimmer switch, works pretty good with my Sunco recessed lights (I get some flickering but rarely). Works on single pole or 3-way. This switch takes up a good amount of room in the box, so try to install it in a deep one if possible. Instructions were laid out well, installation was easy.

Replaced same/similar product that was installed about 10/12 years ago. Works well and their customer service was excellent.

As proof of impartiality, just click on my nickname and see the average of the ratings I have given over 200 reviews to date. ==== First impressions ==== Simply packed in one box with 3 smaller boxes inside. Instruction sheet and hardware (except cover plate) included. ==== Installation ==== Easy as any dimmer. Unless you are using this on a 3-way circuit, there are just the three wires to attach (green (ground), black (line), and red (lamp)). The green ground wire is simply crimped to the metal front plate. The 4th wire (red/white) is left alone with a wire nut to keep it from shorting to anything else. If you have a 3-way circuit, the 4th wire is used for that circuit but there can only be this one dimmer on the circuit; the other control must be a regular 3-way switch only. ==== Operation ==== This works as it should. The switch is used to turn on and off the lamp and the slide control is used to set the dimming level That way, the level can be set one time and left there if needed. On the screw-in bulb type LED lamps I used, the lowest setting produced light at near nightlight level, very low. I did try this dimmer on 3 other large lamps that were not advertised as dimmable with this type dimmer and they all worked; but 2 of them did buzz a little at the low level. I would not recommend using it on these types of lights even if they seem to work. And all 3 gave about 50% light at the lowest setting. I recommend using this for LED or CFL only; because for incandescent lamps, you can use a much cheaper type. ==== Summary ==== Works as advertised, and for 3-way circuits also. Controls are functional without much flickering during light transitions. This may save a little money by buying the 3-pack. Dress cover plates are not included.

I bought 6 Cree CR30 65W equivalent bulbs and noticed with the Lutron Skylark Incadescent only dimmer (previously installed) they would flicker very fast and annoy me. So, I did some research and found this dimmer is approved by Cree and also by Lutron in independent tests for their Cree 65W equivalent BR30 bulbs. Easy installation and once it was installed, I did not see it flicker at all on any setting of the dimmer. In addition as you can see in the attached, the lowest setting on this SKYLARK 150 WATT 1-POLE 3-WAY PRESET CFL/LED DIMMER is the top bulb pictured and the other bulbs are the old Incandescent switch's lowest setting...as you can see the lowest setting is much more on par with an incandescent bulb in a dimmer. This really helps with the LED bulbs sold at HD so I would recommend using this device to dim LED bulbs.

Replaced an identical switch that had stopped dimming. Hope this one lasts longer. Easy to replace.

Bought 2, 1 didn't work so had to return one and buy another. The electrician I hired wasn't happy for the delay!

It worked and was easy to install. I will not be reviewing every purchase I make at Home Depot!
