      A:  sharp metal shears will do just fine. paint will start chipping from overhandling.

            A:  I am not sure if it is available in a larger size, what I do know is that it has worked out great for what I used it for, which was to create a shield for the patio screen door, so the dogs are not able to scratch up the screen, I put a piece on each side and it has world out very well.
