The aerator at the end of the spout unscrews off counterclockwise. If the aerator is recessed, you can order aerator kit with removal key # 180158. A:  Moen products are under warranty for life. Call Moen and give then the model # and ask them to send you new Aerator along with the tool to open and replace

The cap is decorative and does not need to be removed to remove the handle. To remove the handle, hold the top lever still and with your other hand unscrew the handle hub (wider base) counterclockwise and lift handle hub/lever off.
