Q:How many volts?

Answer This Question

A:  This rechargeable battery is 6.0 V (volts) at 3.5 AH (amp hours). It is Ni-MH (nickel metal hydride), much better than older Ni-CAD (nickel cadmium). The brand name is INTEC, which is the brand supplied by MAG-LITE in new flashlights that require this model battery.

A:  MagLite MagCharger LED Rechargeable Flashlight System Aluminum Black RL1019

A:  This battery pack is only for the Mag-Lite rechargeable flashlight, fitted with either the older 6 volt 2-pin halogen bulb or the newer LED array. The flashlight contains two silver charging "contact rings" that are inlaid into the outer circumference of the barrel of the flashlight just below the self-cleaning switch. These rings make contact with a charging head that is designed to charge on 12 volts DC either by a "cigar lighter" accessory plug for a 12 volt vehicle or a 120 volt AC transformer as standard US household electrical current. It is NOT designed for a flashlight that utilizes multiple "C" or "D" 1.5 volt DC battery cells. This battery pack is much preferred over the now almost obsolete Ni-Cd (nickel cadmium).

A:  It works with their RL 1019 rechargeable flashlight system. You can look it up on Google, but it is their higher end system that is super bright, similar to those police officers use. I have had one for over 20 years and it has paid for itself many times over. Hope that helps.

      Answer This Question

A:  Yes, it is OEM but not made by Maglite. They are made by a company named Intec. On mine the Intec # is: IMT-3500D. They are made in Taiwan or China. I no longer have the packaging and the battery itself does not specify it. They typically have worked well for me, lasting about 4 years on average, but do yourself a favor and open your maglite to check if the battery shows any signs of leakage every month or so. Once they leak your maglite is usually toast. Hope that helps.

Q:What to do if my maglight takes 6 D"s

          Answer This Question

A:  Unfortunately, you will need to continue to use 6 "D" 1.5 volt batteries. The 6 volt Ni-MH (nickel metal hydride) battery pack is only for.the Mag-Lite Rechargeable flashlight. The only other option is to use rechargeable "D" cells, which I have owned in the distant past, possibly a brand name of Everready.

BATTERY LEAKED DAMAGING $150. MAGLITE FLASHLIGHT
Lasts about 2 years, but gets dimmer and total on time diminishes. Leaked damaging flashlight. Recommend checking batter every month for leakage.

I ordered it and it arrived in fine standing. I later found out after I could use over the counter D size Batteries qty of 3 instead of the $32 rechargeable battery pack I ordered. I would also need to purchase a magnate battery charger. I returned the Battery I ordered for a store credit and am using $4.75 worth of lithium batteries instead.
