Questions & Answers

I am a right handed guy. The blade should i buy is on the right or the left side? Thank you.

Asked by: Min
Most sidewinder circular saws (i.e. what most people consider a circular saw) will have the blade on the right and will have your right hand on the real handle and trigger and a guide handle on the left. Mechanically that's better for righties. The downside is that you cannot see the blade as well from the left side of the saw where you'd be positioned, but most can live with that issue. Worm-drive saws will have the blade on the left, as others mentioned, but they are also different machines in how the drive is set-up. As a result, they have higher torque but operate at a lower speed, which can be good or bad but usually an unnoticeable, non-issue for 99% of users. Worm-drives are also twice the price.

Yes you should be able to. Although the saw may adjust your finger length as well.
