Margo Garden Products Reflective Tempered Fire Glass is ideal for all propane or natural gas fire applications. Our fire glass is richly colored to appeal in indoor and outdoor venues and is tempered to withstand the most extreme temperatures of fire places and fire pits. These glass pieces are created through an industry-leading manufacturing process to ensure each piece will maintain form and vibrant color. The glass is complimented by a bag designed for easy handling to apply and store for all sized projects. Feature reflective tempered glass in fire pits and fire places to impress all with its durability, charm and decor.
  • Glass will not melt, degrade or produce toxic fumes
  • Burns clean with no soot, ash or smoke
  • Glass size -1/4 in. or 7-12 mm
  • 0.125 cu. ft. bag, coverage area .47 sq. ft.
  • Rectangular fireplace / fire pit (length x depth x glass height) / 19 = glass (lbs.)
  • Round fireplace / fire pit (diameter x diameter x glass height) / 24 = glass (lbs.)
  • Recommend pea gravel for outdoors and sand for indoors as base filler beneath burner as needed

Q:Approximately how many 10 lb bags of glass does it take to correctly fill a 25? x 14? hearth?

A:  For a 25in x 14 in hearth to be filled at 2in depth, you would need 4 bags.

    A:  Honestly not sure we used this for an outdoor gas fire place. It didn’t go very far. I think you would need many many bags depending on the depth you’re looking at. Sure is beautiful though. Might be better to use something cheaper as a base like lava rock and put this on top

      Q:Real Flame recommends using only their fire glass product for some reason. Bur Real Flame fire glass is not available. Will this Margo product perform equivalently in my Real Flame fire table?
