About This Product

Maxx Air 1000 Series Power Attic Vents are built for ventilating residential attic spaces up to 1,600 sq. ft. The ventilator's low profile dome is aesthetically pleasing on the roofline, withstands impacting wind, debris, and hail, and has a galvanized steel mesh screen to protect against insects, birds, and rodents. Install is straightforward and requires no special tools to complete. This electric roof mount attic fan is designed to exhaust hot air from the attic and pull in cooler air through under eave or soffit vents, prolonging the life of composite roof shingles, helping to prevent weather-induced home deterioration, and making living areas more comfortable. Swap your pre-wired thermostat for a thermostat/humidistat combo (XXDUOSTAT) for greater control.

  • Ventilates attic spaces up to 1,600 sq. ft.
  • Low profile steel dome with galvanized steel mesh screen and 6 anchor points for stability and wind resistance
  • Factory assembled for easy install. Suitable for installs up to an 8/12 roof pitch.
  • Adjustable thermostat settings from 50 - 120°F to run only when needed
  • Heavy-duty motor keeps your home attic cooler and reduces air conditioning costs
  • Requires 600 sq. in. of NFA intake ventilation

Q:Will this type of powered roof vent interfere with (static) ridge vent? Our townhouse community will install new roof with ridge vent tomorrow and the roof construction company is not sure about if interference will happen and reluctant to help install the powered roof vent I purchased. Need INSTANT RESPONSE. Appreciate anyone who may have input. Thanks!

    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  The fan might use the ridge vent as intake ventilation. That is the only interference that might happen.

      Answer This Question

A:  For an attic with 625 square feet, we would not recommend any of our powered units. We suggest any static ventilation such as our VX25 or wind turbines.

Installed very easily. I particularly appreciated the wider flange that slipped under the roof shingles and should provide good water intrusion protection.

          Reduced our A/C Use!
My husband installed the fan and it's been working great. We got the smallest fan and set the thermostat on the fan to 85 degrees, so that when the attic gets that hot it goes on. Our A/C doesn't run as much. And this week the temps have been in the 90's here in Tooele, Utah. The only negative is that my husband can hear it running, but it's not loud. I rarely notice it. Writing this for my husband, Lloyd.

          Good deal.
The ventilator is very easy to install, and works just as advertised. Runs quiet and does an excellent job of cooling my greenhouse. An adjustable thermostat turns it on and off.

          Bearings burned up bearings
Item installed in late Aug of 2022. One month of use in 2022. Fan was used in June and July of 2023. Aug 23, 2023 a loud noise started. It was found the bearings were burned up already. The fan was disconnected and had to replace.

            A Great attic fan
Great product! This was a replacement for a similar product that's been on our house for 25+ years. The previous model worked really well at venting the attic and keeping the summertime temps down. I like that this model has moved to metal flashing and dome, the previous one was plastic and gradually got brittle. Installation is simple and easily a DIY.

            New Purchase
We had to change product we were using for years. Found this on-line and ordered (6) for our stock. Came shipped in great packaging. Product appears well made and able to stand up to weather. We have installed (2) so far and the techs like the product. Time will tell on the product itself. So far good marks
