This is my 3rd maytag dishwasher the first one lasted a little over 18 years, it still worked but didn't clean very well. I replaced it with another maytag and that one I wasn't so lucky with. after a few years I had to replace the control board. 2 years later it went out again. So I am trying another maytag and I'm hoping for the best. It cleans good, I like the third rack, comes in very handy. It's nice and quiet and I like the fact that I can stop and add something that I forgot and start up without having to restart from the beginning unlike the old one that had to be started from the beginning. I have always liked maytag appliances, and have owned a lot of them. I am in hopes that this will be a good one.

We've been using this new dishwasher a month now and I'm very satisfied. The third rack has been surprisingly useful, allowing my husband and I to run the dishwasher less frequently because it seems to hold more than our 5-yr-old Kitchen-Aid (it died) did. Our dishes are clean and dry after the standard auto cycle with short heated dry. I'm still learning to load it -- our bowls went in the center of the rack in our previous machine, but go on the side in this one, but then don't leave enough space on the outer edge for glasses? I haven't figured out how to handle that yet. Overall, very pleased. Seems solidly built. The test will be if it can last more than last 5 years. That's a pitiful life expectancy for an appliance, but neither our previous Bosch or Kitchen-Aid couldn't surpass it.

My old one lasted a long time and the only thing wrong with it was the handle that broke and the spokes started to rust. So this time I choose a stainless steel tub and it has what looks like a better handle and spokes.

Was in love until it stopped working after only two years. Repair company came and I was told $850 to fix. The 10 year warranty posted all over the front of the machine covers virtually nothing. A Call to Maytag provided no assistance. Absolutely horrible customer service. Only answer they provided was, you did not buy the extended warranty. Then they had the nerve to offer me a discount to purchase a new one. 15% woo hoo! An appliance that cost $1,000 should last more than 2 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishwasher was delivered and installed on June 8. First time ran it, it leaked. Had service come and check, said it was just condensation. Ran again and it leaked but didn’t notice until next morning. So water sat on hard wood floor. Husband checked and running about 6” back after 10 minutes. Service person came again and bracket holding upper rack is broken. Ordered part. So new dishwasher that haven’t been able to use for over a month and a ruined hard wood floor.

No sweepstakes for this review… replaced 15 year old Maytag that started screeching one night last week when running it.. definitely motor bearings shot… I replaced rather than throwing hundreds of dollars at it… fit and finish is very good.. quite, but so was my prior Maytag machine.. gets dishes spotless..
