2 in. x 4 in. x 8 ft. Grooved Redwood Fence Rail

I forgot the age old advice: measure twice cut once... these grooved 2x4's are only 7' long, not 8'. Luckily I had bought two.

San Mateo Home Depot had a very limited supply and I felt like I was picking through the garbage pile just to find 16 pieces to use for my product. I ended up only using eight of them and routing a half inch channel in redwood two by fours to compensate for the eight I could not bear to put on my gazebo. This is probably more of a knock against Home Depot and their supply inventory than the product but it is what it is and that’s what I had

When you can find straight and uncracked boards at Home depot they are great

Nice redwood fence boards. Be selective as some may be slightly warped but generally they are nicely cut.
