Aurora, thank you for your question. This lock (FM143) will work for both a singe or dual gate. Please check out page 5 in the instruction manual which can be found on the product page about halfway down in blue letters. Open the PDF file to page 5 for installation instructions. One gate will be the master and the other the slave gate. Your opener may need a slight adjustment in the opening speed etc. Our Tech Team can help you set this up, or we do have online videos on YouTube and at our Mighty Mule website. Thank you for being a Mighty Mule Customer.
I depends on your gate set up. My gate panels have less than an inch gap between them. Hopefully you can see the picture I’ve attached

OC, thanks for the question. Our Mighty Mule Automatic Gate Lock works with the control panel on either your single or dual gate. The control panel works off the battery (which operates the gate) or the solar panel which charges the battery that controls the gate. Thanks
Not sure of the ghost controls opener but this lock periodically cause me problem. Didn’t unlock when it was supposed to Causing the gate to be out of sync. I finally took it off and now use a Manual drop pin Lock.
I looked on the website and it shows the gate lock available for your gate. I will give you the links to the manual, go to page 10 - 11. This is where the website shows it as an accessory for your gate. Here is the technical support number 1-800-543-1236 https://www.mightymule.com/wp-content/uploads/MM271_MM272-Installation-Manual.pdf
Honestly the lock has been problematic for me on my dual gate. I finally just removed it. At times it would not automatically open or lock causing the gate to stop immediately when trying to open. I just use a rod into the concrete.
The gate lock is wired directly into the Mighty Mule gate opener control box, what ever device is used to open the gate will activate the lock at the same time. The electronics that operate the gate opener also controls the lock. If you follow the owners manual closely and wire the gate lock to the correct terminals it will work.
Make sure you have the red lead connected to the H and the Black wire connected to the L on the two wires that come from the Auxiliary out. Go to page 29 of this manual for the gate. chrome-extension://oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm/https://www.mightymule.com/wp-content/uploads/Mighty-Mule-MM360-Single-Gate-Operator-Manual.pdf
I wired my lock directly to the wire terminal in the control box and haven’t had any issues. The wire terminal is even marked where you hook it up to.
