Q:Will this flashlight ever update to the USB C connector that so many people have readily available now in their vehicles due to phones switching to it? It would be quite handy on the side of the road to change a tire but not if it goes dead.

Holds up and works perfectly
I use this light for building inspections. Daily use for over a year, it has been dropped off roofs onto cement walks, drug through dirt crawling under mobile homes, soaked when trying to find the location of burst water pipes. No issues. Unlike a lot of led lights they appear to be using a lower kelvin color chip for the led. This gives the light output a more traditional "filament" bulb color. This allows the light to penetrate better in dusty or smoke situations as the light reflects off particles less. Also doesnt white wash whatever you shine it on like white leds, much better color on objects. Battery is starting to weaken, but it's replaceable, for the use one I've got out of it I'll just grab another battery once it gets worse. I have had to clean the charger port due to the open design but it's never not worked. Would be nice to see the port hid under the focus ring or something on a future model. I would recommend this light.

I wouldn’t buy this. Doesn’t last long.
The flashlight was great then one day the button flashed green and red and now won’t turn on. Is there a fix? I love Milwaukee brand. But this flashlight is not good.

Would look at other options
Haven't even had the light for a week before the clip was popping off trying to clip onto hi-vis vest. I like the light output settings. The battery is nice since it also works with my mini flood and head torch.

Works when it wants to.
Very finicky flashlight. Sometimes it will just scroll on it own from bright med to low. And need to disconnect the battery. And now it's just yellow colored light, not true white.

Worst Milwaukee flashlight
I purchased this flashlight hoping to get a flashlight brighter than the Milwaukee 500 lumen with pivoting head and at first this light was definitely brighter but that did not last long after about 2 weeks the light would not light up like how it did when I first opened it. I took it to Milwaukee and they ended up swapping it out for a new one and that one did the exact same thing it worked for about a week then would not light up as bright milwaukee has let me down on this onea

RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE
Have been using this flashlight all day everyday for several years. Dropped my Maglight like a bad habit the day I bought this one!!! Absolutely durable, takes a lickin, and keeps on tickin!!!! Just purchased my 2nd one, keep the OG in my pocket, and one in the tool bag for that just in case!!!

Has Issues but I never leave without it
I've had this flashlight since it came out a couple of years ago and I still use it on a daily basis. Never leaving home without it. It is plenty bright in a pinch, but does not last very long. Gets WAY TOO HOT if you have it on for 5-10 mins.
I've used the detachable clip in a pinch as a metal extension, lever, soft scraper and tether point to hang the flashlight.
Just yesterday, the inside of my windshield iced up and my blower stopped working. This flashlight melted the ice on contact. It is so bright!
I was able to see through my palm when I accidentally busted a vein and found the blood leak internally.
Great doorstop for controlled access doors
Flat bottom base is nice but not the best for handsfree lighting.
The lens melted on it and it burned my desk when I accidentally had it on and lens down.
Very durable and airtight construction. Try making it hiss by building pressure with the zoom function and open the charging port.
The button on the side is a bit unusual and can accidentally turn on in your pocket and give you an unnerving burning sensation. I think it actually did some damage to my canvas pocket liner.
For the price, the size and power, this is an incredible tool. It was worth the money I put into it all things considered. But you got to get the charger pack with at least one more battery on standby if you wanna use this on jobs.

I bought this flashlight in August 2022 to use on nightshift out at a gravel crusher. A few weeks after I purchased it, I was climbing out of the D8 dozer and dropped it on the track, didn’t see it and ran it over. Twist focus function broke obviously with that much weight on it can be expect however, it is now December and the battery still runs, charges and the flash dims just fine and under daily usage. I have had no issues with it and am extremely impressed with the durability of it even the Milwaukee logo is still visible on it. Light is super bright and have gotten loads of comments asking where I got it, how much it costs etc. I was worried after seeing several bad reviews stating that the charging port tends to break and it shouldn’t be a micro usb. I have not had this issue and am still using the micro usb it came with. No complaints so far.

Led burnt and light dramatically drop
I use the flashlight occasionally in the past 3 months. All of a sudden, the brightness drop at least 80%. I twist the lens out and found that the led was burnt and has some brown ash attached to the back of the lens but it can be wiped away. But the led is obviously burned with bark brown spots on it.
I wondering the durability of this flashlight and is it under warranty under my rare usage.

A good rechargeable flashlight.
The problem I had with this flashlight was accessing the usb port to charge it the first time. I couldn't get the ring to turn with my hands, or using jar openers. I finally resorted to a strap wrench and channel locks. Once it moved I could turn it with my fingers, but my brand new flashlight has channel lock marks on it and I'm not happy about that!
