Q:The graphic included in the pictures indicates the largest sizes are 5/8" and 15mm. I am guessing this graphic applies to a 1/4 drive set and somebody screwed up. Can anyone tell me the actual sizes included in this set?

          Nicely made rachet set
The Milwaukee 47 piece 1/2" drive metric & SAE ratchet and socket set is a great tool set. It's very well made with chrome plated forged steel with rust protection. I really like that the sockets are anti-roll and can be used with a wrench as well as the ratchet. There are 3 removable trays sorted by SAE and metric in the carrying case. This set is part of the Milwaukee packout modular storage system. It is truly a quality tool set. Lifetime warranty. Ratchet made in Taiwan. Sockets made in China. Packout organizer made in Israel.

The last word in ½"socket sets!
Milwaukee quality never ceases to amaze me; this IP65 rated 1/2-in socket set is no exception. From the engraved sockets to the flexible PACKOUT storage case, the detailed design and excellent engineering show through. The ONE change I would make is to use 12-point sockets instead of standard 6-point but other than that there is no visible room for improvement. The wrench is comfortable to hold and long enough to enable impressive torque. The sockets slip on and off easily and hold securely, and are shaped so they won't roll off a table top. The case is nicely organized with sized holes for each socket, making it difficult to store the socket in the wrong hole. A real plus is the ability to remove the 3 trays holding roughly half the sockets as this kit is heavy – 17.2 lbs – and it's nice to carry only what you need. The PACKOUT case is strong, waterproof, and compatible with other PACKOUT cases. With standard and deep sockets in both SAE and metric sizes, plus 2 extension bars, it's a great value. As soon as I tried it out I donated my older, fully functional ½-in sets and haven't looked back.

          Very nice professional grade
This is a Very Nice Set Professional grade all the way. Lets start with the case it is well made with good latches and every thing has its own location well marked. You have a tray for ASE and Metric then you have a tray for the large sizes in the center. All 3 trays lift out easy the sockets are easy to remove from any tray. This has been a problem with other tray sets in the past. I was able to remove any socket, ratchet or extension with one hand. Now as for the ratchet I counted about 23 clicks per 1/4 turn making it a 92 tooth ratchet. still it was east to remove or install bolts or I my case I used it to remove spark pluigs today. They are not in tight torque setting is only 133 inch LBS about 11 FT LBs. But this was the first time they have been changed and I could just breake them lose with the 1/2" ratchet, but it was long enough that I had the leverage to break them lose. The ratchet is very well made the direction lever moves easy and I really like the on off markiings This is the first time I have see this on a ratchet beets a arrow. The handle is the perfect lenght and fits comfortable in my hand. Now for the sockets they are very well made the square end were you can put a wrench if you cant fit a ratchet because of a very tight space when mesuared from the inside corner to the outside of the socket is thicker than a standerd socket by about 30 thousandths. Then you check the flat section and the socket is thiner than a standard stocket because the metal is removed to make the flat serface for the wrench if needed. anyway it does not make the socket any weaker because the corrners are thicker and that is the weekest point in a socket. So these sockets are stronger at the ratchet end. Now the bolt or nut end it is the same as a standerd stocket if not bigger by a couple thousandths at best bepending on the stockets that you compare it too. Then you got the extensions that have a very nice line pattern cut all the way around about 1" long giving you a very good grip to eather hold still or spin by hand with your fingers. This really helped me today removing and installing my Plugs. Any way I am very happy with this set both in design and performance. I almost forgot they are all marked on 2 sides of each socket making it very easy to puckup the right socket when you have to change them out when working very easy to see and read.

Well designed ratchet, socket and tool set case
I got this 1/2 in. drive socket set to add to my Milwaukee 1/4 in. and 3/8 in. drive socket sets. There are many times when I need the robustness of this 1/2 in. drive, especially when loosening larger-sized bolts. There are two great features of the Milwaukee socket design: the four flat sides and the socket size stamped in large numbers on the ratchet end of the socket. To NOT have a socket rolling away out of reach when I remove it from the ratchet is a headache saver, and being able to easily find the needed socket is a time saver. (I do wish the socket size was stamped on all four flats of each socket, however.) · The ratchet is well designed and felt robust as I used it and a 7/8 deep-well socket to loosen lug nuts when I removed a tire for replacement of its TPMS sensor. The length of the lever arm from socket center to grip center is about 7 inches. · The tools come in a PACKOUT organizer/case that is secured with two latches. The case is easy to unlatch and latch. There’s a gasket that runs the perimeter of the case and seals the inside from dust and provides some protection from water ingress (IP65 rated). The organizer is 19.5 in W x 16.25 in D (including handle) x 2.5 in H. · The ratchet was made in Taiwan, the sockets made in China, and the PACKOUT organizer/case made in Israel.

          Average ratchet but unique sockets
When this finally arrived after some time, I quickly started looking it over to compare against my other 1/2 inch ratchets. You see I have two separate sets of tools. Ones I use at work exclusively and ones I keep at home exclusively. This way I can't forget a work tool at home and such. My DeWalt set I use at work as an electrician definitely will not be replaced by this Milwaukee set. For a couple reasons. Firstly because the head on the ratchet is massive and that impacts the ability to get in tighter spaces. And secondly the sockets aren't impact rated. Otherwise this set will live in my garage replacing my old and beat up duralast 1/2 inch ratchet. Things I like include the engraved sizes on the sockets. No way those will fade. I also like the removable trays for organization in my tool box. Things I don't like include the size of the ratchet head. It is the size of a 3/4 inch drive ratchet. I don't care for the pack-out case. It is only useful if you own other pack-out stuff which I don't. It too is a bit on the large size. Sockets and extensions aren't impact rated. Impact rated tools are different than non-impact rated ones.

          brilliant !
brilliant ! Tool manufactures' should have been doing this long ago ! Pros: - they look sleek and sexy ! - feel solid, and in use so far they work great. - squares fit wrenches really well a couple of downsides: - the wrench size that fits, doesn't always make sense, see pic. regular metric 15MM needs 17MM wrench, deepwell 18MM. - the plastic case is a bit tight, I *assume this will loosen over time, but right now it's difficult to get the sockets out by hand. - metric sizes goes to 19MM, would have been nice to go a little higher.

          Very nice socket set
Very nice set of sockets. Replacing/Upgrading my Mid-matched Pittsburg and Craftsman sockets with this kit. Removable trays are nice if you want to put them in a tool box, though the lay-flat deep sockets take up more space than if you put them on rails. Red and black trays make it easy to distinguish between metric and SAE. The trays hold the lay flat sockets nicely, a little snap but not difficult to insert/remove. Every metric sizes 5mm thru 19mm included, plus 5.5mm, in both standard and deep. No skipped sizes. SAE sizes 5/32 thru 7/8” standard and deep, with 1/4 drive is 1/32nd increments up to 3/8”, then 1/16” increments on up. Includes 15/16” and 1” but in standard depth only. There is a reasonable amount of overlap in 1/4” drive and 3/8” drive sizes. Sockets have large, easy to read, deep engraved sizes on 2 of the 4 flat sides. Flat sides should help prevent sockets from rolling away and I’m interested in trying using them with a wrench. Sockets are all 6-point rather than 12 points, so they are unlikely to round a fastener or have a nut or lock washer jam inside. Only downside is they can’t be used on 12-point fasteners, but those are pretty uncommon. Ratchets are fine toothed for minimal arc swing, heads are thin/low profile compared to some other ratchets I own, which makes them easier to fit in tight spots. The ratchets don’t have a socket release button on the back, but the sockets aren’t too difficult to remove. It is kind of lame/odd that the engraved “Milwaukee” on the ratchet handles are a generic font not the Milwaukee logo with lightning bolt. Definitely other brand socket sets out there for less money, possibly with more “pieces”, but this is a very solid, comprehensive 1/4” and 3/8” socket set, with very high quality components. No fluff on the component count either (sometimes they advertise “100 Piece Mechanics Tool Set!” but 50 pieces are screw driver bits and hex keys). The Packout compatibility is a nice bonus.

I'm an absolute fan of anything pack out related!! I believe that every Milwaukee power tool made should have the option to come in a pack out case instead of just regular Milwaukee case that basically gets put to the side or sold online, Personally it's a waste of plastic at least if all power tools king in pack out cases then at least everything could be stacked And connected together and they wouldn't be sliding all over the place in the back of the work Van.. Really surprised that Milwaukee has not stepped up their game just a Tadd bit whether the consumer has a pack out already or not the basic case that power tools come in Has one use only And if Milwaukee was smart all cases would be pack out compatible and just may be more people would actually consider buying the pack out, if you consider it, it probably uses the same amount of plastic that goes into making a useless case as it would to make a pack out case that would have more than just one use.. (rant over) i swear by my pack out, Spend the money and you will be glad that you did..
