About This Product

The MILWAUKEE Mini Flush Cutters produce consistent, precise cuts through thin wires and cable ties. The spring-loaded cutter design helps to reduce user fatigue while using the tool. The slim profile allows for better user access to tight spaces. Over-molded grips on the flush wire cutter will not peel after heavy use or exposure to job site conditions. The cutters are built with machined precision and feature rust protection to work harder for longer.

Answer This Question

A:  Hi Doris! Our Mini Flush Cutters are optimized for precise cuts through thin wires and cable ties.

by|May 22, 2023

A:  I definitely wouldn't, I use mine for wire and plastics and the tip bent while cutting plastic.

Q:Where are these made? They look like the great Italian made ones that sell for a lot less, so just curious if the price is even close to being justified.

A:  You get what you pay for. Milwaukee is quality. Quality comes with a cost. If you want cheap, go get some chinesium harbor tools.

        Not durable
Tip broke within a few uses, not great quality. Went to these because the klein ones have a bad spring design and would get stuck, but at least the tips don’t break on theirs

          Don't buy, soft metal cutters
It cuts through zip ties as expected. However, the blades damanged when I tried cutting a wire almost as thin as a strand of hair. I can't recommend these pliers/cutters to anybody. Taking back for a refund.

I've probably bought a dozen different small flush cutters and all failed me at some point. Either too hard steel that chips easy, or too soft and bend at the pivot. Milwaukee did an outstanding job using the perfect high carbon steel for those cutters. The go through copper like its nothing, can be easily sharpened, the pivot point is strong and they are spring loaded. The grip is very good on them, and although they don't need a lot of force to cut, they are very comfortable to hold and use them for long hours on end.

I'm normally a big fan of Milwaukee tools but this one had me a little disappointed. I was doing some wiring at a big patch panel over a vacation and thought I'd splurge a bit with these cutters. Now don't get me wrong, they worked just fine for 90% of the wires I had to cut. However, for the 10% that that were hard to reach, the blades were misaligned just enough that these cutters couldn't reach.

              Get What You Pay For
I consider myself to be part of the Red Tool Tribe owning many of thei power tools and hand tools. Their creed is “Nothing But Heavy Duty”, unfortunately that doesnt alway apply to their hand tools, and this is one of them that doesnt. I own Milwaukee hand tools that rival german made tools at a significant discount but this one is no where close especially in ergonomics. The grip is only 3/8” thick so if you need any leverage on them or if youre using them for long periods of time you will get uncomfortable. That being said for the price these are exactly what I expected and are otherwise of high quality. The one thing I would much prefer is a locking closure, with the sping assist these are always open. I’ll probably try to find a pouch for them because they’re sharp enough to jab you or get damaged if they’re floating around a drawer or tool box

Was looking for a smaller, more precise pair of cutters than my 8" diagonals. These are nothing terribly fancy, but serve the purpose well, and especially at the price. Cutting edges mate perfectly, and will cut something as thin as a piece of paper, far exceeding my needs in that regard. Comfortable, slip-resistant handles and the simple spring mechanism are both more than adequate.

They're pretty good. I've used better European made ones that cost more, but these are probably the ones I'd tell a friend to get. They felt better in the hand to me than the cheaper options did and the construction seems to be more durable. This pair comes with a limited lifetime warranty, but this tools should be considered a consumable in my option. The cutters did a good job trimming up to 18 AWG copper wire, zip ties (some manufacturers say not to do this), and component leads. I even used them for hangnails and cleaning up my cuticles. The cuts where all nice and clean. These are definitely staying with my soldering iron.

First, Milwaukee makes excellent tools and this is one. It is a flush cutting tool, very handy in tight spaces. It is spring loaded so it is easier to use. It is fairly small which is perfect for tight work but that also means it has limits on what it can cut. I like the lifetime warranty, always handy on tools. I use it in electrical work to closely trim wires.
