Answer This Question

A:  There are couple different types being sold. One that clearly shows reaming feature as opposed to other that does not. Remaining version is priced at 24.97 online

by|Sep 19, 2021

A:  Well, I ordered it on line and received it today. It turns out that the pliers don't have the reaming edges, just like the pliers sold currently sold at my local Home Depot store.

      Answer This Question

A:  Small cheap ones yes. I use it to cut the steel wire in closet organizer shelving. Most better locks are case hardened to deter this.

      A:  I don't see a difference in the two

      by|Mar 18, 2021

A:  For the price every bit as good

      by|Feb 18, 2021

A:  I bought a couple or weeks ago. I like these more than I do the Klein's.

        by|Nov 5, 2020

A:  I actually like the Kliens 81/2" set but could no longer find them. However this pair was a great replacement.

        by|Jul 24, 2021

A:  These aren't insulated. Wouldn't recommend for electricians.

Milwaukee Tool 9-inch High Leverage Linesman Plier
Overall I love my Milwaukee Tool 9-inch High Leverage Linesman Pliers with Wire Cutter and Integrated Crimper. But there is a small chip after cutting a wire. I understand there is a 5 year warranty for the product. I would like to know more. Thanks

These have a very comfortable grip and great leverage. The cutting edge is sharp and effective. Clever groove for pulling steel fish tape. The crimpers work well

I ordered and received my Milwaukee 18 in. bolt cutters about a month ago. This is a tool that I won’t be using frequently, but when needed, it is handier than getting my grinding tool out and putting a metal cutting blade on it. As a test, I took a few ¼ “tapcon masonry screws and used them to see how my new cutter would work. With a minimal effort I was able to cut the screws with no problem. After cutting the screws I checked the hardened cutting jaws and there was no visible damage. In summary, the Milwaukee bolt cutters were able to cut through their stated maximum cut capacity (1/4”) with little effort and there was no visible damage. I have several Milwaukee tools at home that have always worked well for me and my new bolt cutters seem to be of the same high quality.

These are the bolt cutters I always wanted. I got another set over a year ago but they were too big and bulky. This one is just right. It is heavy enough to cut a bolt up to 3/8" in size but small enough to easily handle. If you need to cut a bolt or you need to cut a pad lock this is the tool for you. It is also Milwaukee brand which I always appreciate. I have a number of Milwaukee tools in my shop.

Milwaukee has out done themselves with this new line of equipment. These bolt cutters are just the right size for us DIYers. They are big enough to handle the job but not so big you need a truck to haul them around. They are sharp and cut through chain and cable pretty easy. Don't get me wrong, it's not like a hot knife through butter, It takes some muscle to clamp them down to cut the chain or cable. They are easy to use. I am sure that if you "bite" on something that causes the cutting edge to break or chip you can purchase spare cutting heads to replace them. They are a great tool to have around because you never know when you are going to need them. A real good investment for the tool bag.

Small enough to fit in the tool bag, but big enough to get my job done. Comfortable handles; through riveted to the tool locking them firmly in place. Rated for 1/4 inch on hard materials; hardened chain, shackles, steel cables. 3/8" on soft steel; fence links, soft chain or bolts etc. My main use is on wire racks; kind of like those that are used in closet organizers and storage shelves. A hack saw needs a vise or equivalent, a cutting wheel is messy and makes sparks. Jaws are the typical V design that meet in the center. Not insulated or designed to cut energized cables, but would make quick work trimming a bunch of 12-3 flat cables to length.

We are always very satisfied with Milwaukee products. They have never disappointed. We recently got the MILWAUKEE 18 IN. BOLT CUTTER WITH 1/4 IN. MAXIMUM CUT CAPACITY. We have used it to cut a lock, to which we forgot the combination, some wire fencing and some thick plastic plant poles for our shrubs. The are heavy duty, but not heavy. The blades are forged steel and they are adjustable. They have comfortable grips which help when you're cutting something thick.

These are some very nice and heavy duty bolt cutters. These are my first pair like these always great to have when you need to cut bolts, locks, or chains. Also great to have if you lose the keys to your locks and have to remove it in a hurry. There is a card on the bolt cutters that tell about the product and how to maintain and keep them looking great, it also has a great warranty on them.

The Milwaukee 18 inch bolt cutter offers very good leverage considering the 1/4 inch jaws. The handles are solid, and the end handle holds are easy to grasp, with a very good grip. While the jaw settings and closing adjustment are available, I found the initial factory settings enable a good range of material access into the jaw opening. Given the size of the tool, it's weight is noticeable due to the material it is constructed of and job it is intended to do. All and All, would recommend this bolt cutter as a very good addition to your tool box.
