Yes the Larger M12 batteries can be used on this but it really only effects the run time which will be longer, not so much the power, at least I haven't seen much difference, your milage may vary!

It will work with any drill bit having a shank under 3/8 inch. I use mine only around the house but it works great and I wonder why I lived so long with only corded drills. It Holds a charge very well when left unused for quite a while.

Yes, this tool would work great. Make sure you choose the right blade so the cut will not be real rough.

I've had this tool about a year now and I really like it's cutting ability & small size. This little hackzall is really quite the beast, you put on the right blade for the job and it'll work just like it's big brother for many jobs! I now go to it first and I'm always amazed how well it cuts! I only wish they would put the slide lock/unlock switch somewhere else, maybe even just a little higher, as it gets hit by accident all the time by my hand and I have to stop what I'm doing to push it back to unlock, the same issue goes for their drill & drivers too for that matter. I've use this tool with attachments as well like scraping blades & metal brushes for paint prep (see pic) and it does a good job with those attachments too. I've even thrown on a tree limb cutting blade to trim my trees & bushes, it's so much, easier, faster, cleaner & safer than a chain saw. If you found this review helpful please click on the thumbs up. Thanks!

The Milwaukee 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless 3/8-inche Drill/Driver Kit with two 1.5 Ah Batteries, Charger, & Tool-Bag is a top-value at an affordable price. You pay a little more than for the off-brands, but this top-notch drill/driver kit is worth more than the price Milwaukee Tool charges you for it. It's a bargain. Invest in the future. Buy this set. It works great for metal-work and wood, etc.

I'm Just diy-er who loves quality tools. I used it and bought it cause I had to get into a confined space. To cut some drainpipe. It did the job. Took too long. I should of got a corded saw or a m18 for my application. I just bought the wrong tool... I believe this to be a good tool. It was my fault for using something not designed for the job.

I've had my Hackzall for over a year now and its been through some hard work. I mostly use it for cutting 1/2' conduit but it has gone through 2' before. from angle Iron to 2x4 wood this really takes on the smaller job that you don't want to break the big saw out for. However mine finally died on me. I for sure got my money worth. I looked into sending it in for repair and its $80+ to send it in. I'll probably just upgrade to the Fuel instead of sending it in. I buy a lot of Milwaukee and it's been the first tool yet to quit on me.

I bought 2 of these (1 for a Christmas gift for my son) because the 2 tool for the price of 1 sale was unbeatable, but also so I reflected back on how many times I could have used the awesome little Hackzall. I am a DIY home owner and have learned thru the years the importance of owning good tools and not underestimating the amount of times you will use them. This Milwaukee Drill/Driver HACKZALL Combo Kit works great and is no exception. I haven't had it very long but used the Hackzall on a couple small projects. The photo is an example of a project (gas fireplace) in which I completed about a week before I bought the tools. The project would have been so much easier had I owned them i.e. the FP cutout & relocating the electrical outlet.

(What's this)
This is a decent set, and the typical Milwaukee quality is evident in both tools. It comes with the two tools, two chargers and three batteries. The batteries are lithium ion, so they charge fast and they hold their charge when not in use. The batteries charge in less than 30 minutes, easily. The driver is good. It has a 3/8" adjustable chuck, good for using bits with different size shanks. There is an adjustable torque dial for controlling the driving torque. It's not my best driver, but it's adequate. On drivers of this size, I prefer a simple, 1/4" slip shank collette for quick change of bits. The adjustable chuck on this suggests the ability to handle larger diameter bits for more work, but it doesn't really have the power for much heavier duty work. There is a row of LEDs on the side to indicate level of battery charge, which I like. The "Hack-zall" is not that great. It's decent for cutting small diameter PVC conduit and maybe some quick rough cuts around your shop, but not much else. I used it to demo some wood scraps and a pallette, and it lasted for about ten minutes per battery. The stroke is only half an inch, so it was a lot of work trying to cut through anything of size. I have it in the garage right now, and I use it to cut up wood sometimes for the firepit...but anything of decent size requires something bigger. It's a light duty tool. The kit comes with a case for the driver and a soft side tool bag for the Hack-Zall. I find it convenient to keep both tools, one charger, all the batteries and any accessories in the toolbag. It keeps it well organized.

Here is another tested; great product. Ordered online from homedepot this kit comes with an M12 saws all and a mini hammer driver combo A good starter for that Diy and also young teens learning power tools I've enjoyed this pair. And give it a honest A plus for the voltage class that each are in. Things I'v cut with saws all are cutting off sharp metal ends to cutting small branches for pruning and thining also cutting pallets up. With the driver I've used for smaller jobs and quick fixes and adjusting screws and general repair. Both are quality tools from Milwaukee.

(What's this)
I love these 2 battery operated compact tools so much that I bought a set for my brother. He repairs furniture and says he can now get into areas with the drill that he couldn't, using his regular sized battery operated drill. He couldn't say enough good things about the hackzall either. Both tools are heavier than they look. Definitely quality made. A rough and fine blade, 3" long, comes with the hackzall. It also comes with a canvas carry bag and the drill/driver comes in a hard plastic case. Both tools came with a 12 volt battery & charger and there is an extra battery included in the set. There is a dial on the drill that allow you to set it for drilling as well as a variety of torques, depending on the task you are performing and on what material. The hackzall is very easy to maneuver for a more precise cut, compared to my awkward and heavy electric hack saw. Both tools are equipped with a comfortable rubberized handle to grip. It's recommended that you run the battery dead on both tools before recharging. The 12 volt battery only takes less than 2 hours to fully charge, compared to 4 - 6 hours on 18 volt tools. I do a lot of small job drilling and cutting and these 2 tools are my go-to-tools. They both are going to get a lot of usage this summer when I replace some deck boards and stairways. You're gonna love em both.
