Lots of power for the size!
I've had this saw for a couple of years. Like all my m12 tools, one of its biggest strengths is its small size. I've used it to cut metal and pvc pipes and it performed great, but I mostly use it with a pruning blade around the yard for trimming branches. The lightweight means you can easily handle it with one hand and hold onto the branch with your other hand. I've even used it to cut down our Christmas tree the last couple years!

    Must have multi tool
I’ve been a long time Milwaukee fan and this multi tool does not disappoint. I’ve used it for just about cutting anything you could imagine. Makes cutting for electric boxes in shiplap a dream and drywall like cutting hot butter. If needed you can cut a 2x4 no problem. The trick to a quality cut for what your cutting is the blade quality, there expensive but worth every penny. If you buy cheap blades you will not like it. It can be a battery hog so have a few battery’s and a 4 amp hr battery is best for big jobs. It’s a bargain and the possibility’s are endless even cuts pvc and copper. Highly recommended this tool.

      Cuts a decent size tree
I want to leave this review for people like myself who read countless reviews trying to decide between the M18 Fuel and the M12 Fuel versions of this tool for cutting tree limbs instead of a chainsaw. My need was a smaller tree had come down in our yard and needed to be cut up for disposal. The largest diameter of the trunk was around 6-7 inches. This saw got it done with very little struggle, and I was very pleased to not have to deal with a return and having to spend more for the M18. The saw is hefty but small, and insanely powerful. Here it is pared with a Milwaukee 9" 5tpi wood with nails rated blade that I had on hand. If what you're trying to cut is any larger than this, then I would move up to the M18, but the value for the M12 fuel saw is insanely high, and I cannot recommend this one enough.

        Price doesn’t reflect quality
Had for a few years but only used a handful of times for small DIY projects. 1 star for ergonomics. Definitely not beat up, even the bag is still clean. The positive side of the plug got stuck in the battery. No idea how this even happens, battery gets pulled straight out. Tool didn’t even pay for itself.

Two Bad Batteries on a brand new tool
I received my brand new tool and went to charge the battery and the charger showed that it had a fault. I called Milwaukee Tool and spoke to someone and said that i could either return it or send in the battery and get a new one, basically admitting that it's fairly common that bad batteries in brand new tools happen. i chose to send in the battery and get a new one. When i received the new battery, i put it on the charger and had the same issue of the red and green lights. i borrowed a charger from a friend to see if it was a bad issue, but saw the same result. i called the 1-800 number again and they told me i should return the tool to Home Depot. As someone who lives in Milwaukee, i'm just really disappointed in this experience and I won't be buying Milwaukee tools again in the future. It seems fairly rudimentary that the battery should be tested before it leaves the factory, considering the charger tells you within five seconds that there's a fault.I would think that would be even more important on a warranty replacement.

            excellent compact tools
I do general contract work and i ride a motorcycle. The milwaikee M12 Fuel line of tools allows me to carry professinal grade tools in my saddle bags withiut over burfening myself or my bike. While they lack the overall OOOmph of the M18 Fuel line, they get the job done! The rotary tool works great and fits all my Dremel brand attatchments. The Hackzall fits all regular reciprocating saw blades and does quick work

              Versatility in Spades
I have used this sawzall primarily for cutting pvc on the job, but I bring it home and prune, cut durock, and wood with it as well. It does not fully replace my M18 super sawzall but I did not expect it to. However my large sawzall cannot get where this one can. If you're considering buying this, make sure you get the Fuel model. The brushless motor and 4.0 battery work all day. No complaints.

Good power good deal. A little bit too much vibration for me but I'm sure the seasoned construction worker would really appreciate the size and being able to get in tight spaces I think I'll probably stick with my larger two handed model but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with this tool cuz there's not it works great it's just not quite for me.
