The MILWAUKEE M18 FUEL 18ga Brad Nailer delivers peak productivity at the jobsite, providing users with unmatched nailing performance without the hassle of a compressor and hose. Leveraging a nitrogen air spring mechanism, the finish nailer enables users to consistently sink nails to the proper depth in hard and soft woods while leaving clean nail holes matching the head of the nail. The combination of Milwaukee's POWERSTATE Brushless Motor and REDLINK PLUS Intelligence delivers users with unmatched fire rate with zero ramp-up time keeping them efficient throughout their day. Additionally, the cordless brad nailer operates using Milwaukee's REDLITHIUM Batteries (not included) and sealed compressed nitrogen to drive each nail, completely eliminating the cost of gas cartridges and maintenance associated with competitors' nailers. The 18 gauge nailer is compact in size, and very lightweight, providing users with unmatched access into tight spaces and limiting their fatigue throughout their day. The M18 FUEL 18ga Brad nailer delivers the pneumatic performance that professional carpenters and remodelers expect with the freedom and convenience of cordless.

This works great for baseboard. Any of the M18 trim nailers work for that. Make sure your nails are long enough to go through the baseboard and drywall and at least another 1/2” into framing. Hope this helps

I would use a 16 gauge. As pine ages it shrinks. A larger nail with a larger head would be a better fit for that application. Especially for a ceiling.

Started nice. Then failed.
First 9 months this was a champ. Then, suddenly couldn't sink nails. I purchased a new one to replace, first day on the job 50% of shots were dry fire. Tried different nails, different batteries, nothing worked. I loved it when new, but no longer trust it.

Best battery powered Brad nailer, HANDS DOWN!
I am a Frame and Finish carpenter, recently I switched from Rigid, first going to Dewalt (big mistake!) as I put real use on my tools, burning out the Impact driver on day 2, which led me to Milwaukee... WOW I am beyond impressed, I’ve swapped over 60% Of my tools so far, and this Brad Nailer was the primary reason I started, absolutely perfect for most finish work, I can’t wait for the 23g pin nailer to be released.. This tool is easy to hold compared to dewalt, and rigidly versions, while the weight is similar this model has great distribution making it easy to hold above th waist for long periods of time, and the 5.0 battery lasts all day without trouble.. Milwaukee makes a fantastic product that holds up, and is surprisingly powerful.. So far 3 coworkers made the switch after trying out my 21degree Framer, and this 18g Brad Nailer.. I’ll get the rest of my tools swapped out soon..

I’m in Love
As a DIY person and non carpenter and first time user of a nail gun, this was very very easy to start up out of the box. No issues with my recent renovation. Its very well balanced, quiet and a solid quality tool. I love the reliability I get from this and any Milwaukee tool.

Great Nailer
Needed it to put down quarter round trim. I have a pnuematic set but so tired of hauling around hoses and compressor ans waiting for compressor to charge ans hoping where I’m working has power. This nailer “nailed” the job, doing exactly what I needed. No hassle, no charge up time. Just quality nail driving every time. Drove about 100 nails so far. Not a ton, but no misfires and perfect countersink. Maybe adjusted once. Only thing I didn’t like is when I got to about 8 nails left it kept firing but no nails. I shot about 4 nails before catching it, and firing pin made dents. Tried to match nails with dents after reload. Got very close, but made holes bigger. Not noticable with the trim I used or with caulk on white trim, bur wish there was some sort of alert to let me know nails are low or stop firing.
