Great tool, good price
I have seen everyone recommending a 9ah or a 5ah battery, but I was able to use this trimmer with my M18 1.5ah battery from another tool kit for 2hrs. It still cut through 3/4" limbs with no problem. Overall it's a great tool that's built to last and will cut through almost anything.

This tool is a BEAST!
This is my first cordless hedge trimmer. I have used both corded and gas before. Love not having to drag a cord out and love that I do not have the noise of a gas powered unit. This thing is a beast! Box hedge was a breeze. The rhododendrons were no match for this tool.

Well balanced and designed hedge trimmer!
This 24" hedge trimmer by Milwaukee performs phenomenally for a cordless hedge trimmer. The trimmer is able to cut up to 3/4" branches and on an 8.0 High Output battery you can get about 2 hours of run time. With the 8.0 battery the trimmer is very well balanced making hedge trimming super easy with minimal fatigue for long periods of use. The trimmer has a blade tip guard that helps to protect potential damage done to your property or the trimmer blades. At 3,400 strokes per minute, this trimmer cuts a lot of vegetation with every pass. Weighing only 8.6 lbs., the trimmer is very manageable to run for long periods at a time.
I also own the QUIK-LOK hedge trimmer and they are two totally different hedge trimmers. For hedges that are waist high and down, this 24" trimmer is perfect for those jobs. Anything higher I like to use the QUIK-LOK trimmer. I love not having to deal with extension cords and I'll admit I have cut a few extension cords in my time with a hedge trimmer, so not having to be mindful of the extension cord or needing an outlet makes hedge trimming a lot quicker and easier. I have a huge property and I'm able to easily maintain all my hedges with this trimmer on one single 8.0 battery, about 2 hours worth of non stop trimming. The 24" blade makes for less reaching on wider hedges. Overall great trimmer!!

Trail cleaning machine!
I bought these to help clear trails for Jeep Jamboree. I already had M18 batteries so it was a good fit for me. They have worked great so far and sure beats cranking on the group's gas powered set. These will cut anything you can fit through the guards. One recommendation is to keep the blades sprayed with a light coat of WD-40. The blades will try to surface rust if left in the safety sheath.

Does all I need around the house
I'm a plumber and am already invested in 3,000 dollars worth of tools, so it was a no-brainer when it came to battery powered hedge clippers. For the price of the bare tool I was off and running when I popped in my high output 12.0. my bushes outsider of my home have not been taken care of in a while but this tool cut through them in about 2 hours and only drained 2 bars of battery life. Yet another great tool from this company. The only thing I would mention to a new buyer of Milwaukee tools is with durability comes weight. Other than that you will not find a better product out there than Milwaukee products

awesome tool
I run this with an 8 amp HO battery and can easily get 2 hours run time out it. Its a touch on the heavy side if ur bending over a lot but that 24 inch bar is great! Def recommend this one from milwaukee! Worth every penny
