Anybody know if Milwaukee will be releasing a Gen II of this anytime soon?
This IS Gen 2.
Is there a modification to this nailer, or is there another nailer which can properly drive a 1.5", thick shank nail into joist hangers. I don't know the exact size of the shank, but a framer I knew seemed to regard the nails he used as about 20d.

Can I use it for finished too and not just rough in
This is a framing nailer that drives 6p to 10p framing nails. Milwaukee makes a battery powered 18ga. Nail gun that would be better suited for finish work.
