About This Product

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 21° Framing Nailer Kit sets the new standard for cordless framing nailers. By leveraging a nitrogen spring mechanism, POWERSTATE brushless motor, and REDLINK Intelligence, this nailer provides users with pneumatic performance and the convenience and freedom of cordless power. Delivering the power to sink full round head nails into dense engineered lumbers, this framing nailer enables users to tackle even the most demanding framing applications. The framing gun fires 3 nails per second with zero ramp-up time, meaning a nail is fired as soon as the user pulls the trigger. Additionally, the cordless framing nailer operates using only Milwaukee's REDLITHIUM Batteries and sealed compressed nitrogen to drive each nail, completely eliminating the cost of gas cartridges and maintenance associated with competitors' nailers. The 21° Framing Nailer delivers the pneumatic performance and durability that professional carpenters and remodelers expect, without the hassle of a compressor and hose or gas cartridge. The Performance Safety Glasses with Gaskets provide Advanced Protection with Ultimate Performance. For added protection, the lenses are high-velocity impact tested providing users with military grade impact protection. In addition to the framing nailer, this kit includes one M18 XC5.0 battery, an M18 & M12 Multi-Voltage Charger, rafter hook, non-marring tip, High Performance Polarized Safety Glasses with Tinted Lenses and Gasket, and bag.

      Answer This Question

A:  The back of the packaging is incorrect. These do NOT block UV emissions. In addition to the answer of NO from Milwaukee, I checked them with a UV flashlight and they do not block UV.

A:  Milwaukee Tools headquarters states they have no UV protection. The package label is wrong as can be surmised from it saying it protects against UVC, none of which even makes it through earth's atmosphere.

                  horrible delivery
They dropped this product off at my front door completely destroyed. The packaging was so soaked. It fell apart when I picked it up and it didn’t sit out there. I actually waited for him to drop it off and then I walked out there one minute after it was at my front door this is what i received

Just some of the best safety glasses I've ever purchased. As for impact resistance, they are very well designed, and I must say they look pretty cool, as they appear to be regular sunglasses, but with a little style to them as I've seen, safety glasses seeming to be going in that direction over the last 10 or 15 years. Five stars***** I would fully recommend these to any contractor or plumber, or where safety is a must in the work place.

Unless I got a defective one, terrible quality. Broke after 2 weeks of use at ear piece. No impact. Placed on face and it broke.

This Milwaukee M18 cordless framing nail gun is fantastic. I've had plenty of pneumatic guns and other brand cordless framing nailers, but this bridges the gap between the two where power and portability meet, all in a convenient and well-made package. This model is 21-degree for full round head framing nails, which code requires for seismic in my area. It comes with a 5.0Ah battery, charger, and convenient soft bag. It is easy to turn on and use, and select which mode you want. Full charge and framing lumber, this sinks standard smooth shank framing nails as fast as I can fire it without pop ups or delays. The tip is nonstandard, a flat type and not the circular tooth style I'm used to, but it works just fine just different. It does have a plastic tip for installing siding and trim. Overall a great powerful product. No more hauling around compressor and cords, especially on ladders this is a godsend. Obviously if you're doing sheathing work with constant nailing or production work all day, a pneumatic gun is a better choice, but for remodel work, interrupted work, portability, etc this gun is king.

Heavy – 11.4lbs vs 8.0 lbs for my pneumatic framing nailer. It holds fewer nails (43 vs typically 60), but an extension is available to increase it to 86 nails. Roughly 14.5” from head to tip so possible to use it between studs. The loading mechanism is unique as nail strips are loaded from the back, not the top of the magazine, with the spring-loaded “pusher” engaging via a squeeze tab. The same tab is engaged to remove unused nails from the magazine – it works well once you get used to it. There is a slight delay while powering up/down and changing mode, but that's good to prevent inadvertent change. A hex (Allen) wrench is included for use in jam removal, and it stores nicely in the rear of the handle. A small LED light at back of unit is mostly useless, as it shines down instead of forward. The unit fires instantly when the trigger is pulled, and bump mode is quick. Dry-fire lockout works fine, and it engages when there are fewer than 4-5 nails left in the magazine. I noticed that often times the first nail in a strip did not engage, possibly because of excess plastic, even though the gun fired. It leaves a nice hole in the wood. A no-mar pad is included, but there's no place to store it on the tool when not in use. As far as I can determine, the nailer is not designed for use with metal connectors – there is no special tip or guide available. No problem driving 3” nails into PT lumber. The tool includes both a rafter hook you can swing out, and a belt hook – but hanging 11+ pounds from a belt requires a very sturdy belt; otherwise, wear your best underwear. This is a well made unit, but all things considered (weight, price, capacity), I would stick with my other nailer for larger jobs. For smaller jobs this is as excellent option.

This is a great nailer, it is powerful, convenient to use, especially when you want to break down the site to get head home for the day and pack up your compressor and hoses. I used a cordless nailer on a job site, while framing the walls for the second floor. With two other people using pneumatic nailers, with their Hose going from the 1St floor to the 2nd, not having the Hose to worry about tripping on was a huge plus. Adjusting the depth is easy, just turn the silver dial on nose. This has an LED most cases you may noy needbiy, but with all tools you won't need them all thr time but when you do, you are glad it is there. This lost a star due to the weight. It is a little heavy, especially at the top so it has the tendency to Lean to the right while in my hand. Overhead work may be tedious with this, but who doesn't want bulging shoulders. I used all types of batteries with this, The CP3.0, 5, 9, 12. And this fired well with all of them. Due to the weight of the 12, O would recommend a smaller battery like the 3. I used this on 2x for a stand I am making as well as attaching Jacks to Kings. Worked great in both single fire and bump fire modes The strips of nails In had. 3" .131 came in strips of 25, I could put 2 strips in, but this nailer did not lock them in, so I could only usr 1 full strip at a time. The dryfire lockout kicked in with 4 nails left in the magazine, I was able to add a new strip to the remaining 4 so the nails are not wasted. This also comes with a marring tip to protect your work surface, I did not use it as the framing I did, did not call for it. This fit in my mid size packout box although it is a very snug fit.

This cordless Framing Nailer works great. Now with this tool no more air lines to deal with. The nail gun has plenty of power and multiple functions. They are single fire and multi nailing by holding the trigger and touching the hammer to the work surface. There is a belt hanging clip as well as a clip to hang the gun from a rafter There is plenty of power and the depth adjustment is easily adjusted by a knob near the head. Although the weight is a bit more than my air nailer, it is much more convenient. It is a bit smaller in length so it will get in smaller locations There is an aftermarket high capacity nail rack available.

This nailer is an excellent replacement to my old pneumatic nailer. I got my first pneumatic framing nailer about 15 years ago. It served me well during various projects around the house. My first nailer was a gift and not being a career carpenter I wonder if it would get enough use. Well, it did and now I won't live without one. This Milwaukee nailer is great, it relieves me of having to drag out a compressor nor do I have to worry about tripping over the hose anymore. Its very powerful and easy to adjust unlike a pneumatic nailer. This kit comes with everything you need accept the nails. So, if your a full time carpenter - you already know Milwaukee products are great. If your a DIY'er wondering (like it did) if it's worth the investment - I say YES. I built a shed, framed out basement walls, re-framed for larger windows, built a back porch and helped friends and family with some of their projects.

Up until getting this nailer, I've been using the pneumatic 3.5" full round head framing nailer. The problem with using this nailer outside is it needs a compressor and air hose to function. Working on my yard fence was a pain when you're dragging both a compressor and air hose around the yard. Using this cordless framing nailer is essentially the same thing as my corded one but so much better in so many ways. I can adjust the nail depth with two fingers. Clearing nail jams is slightly more involved than my air powered nailer however, it's nor overly hard. [] It does not require a compressor or air hose. [] The uses a brushless motor. [] Does not require gas cartridges to work. [] Uses the same full head nails as my air powered nailer. [] The M18 Redlithium XC5.0 battery last for 700 nails when fully charged. Although this nailer is 2-pounds heavier than my air powered nailer, it's just so much better to use. I love everything about this nailer, especially the Milwaukee quality. Highly Recommended!!!

More like a cannon than a nail gun
I've had this framing nail gun about a week or so. It's currently being used for the re-framing of a garage with some new support posts and header beams being installed. This gun is more like a cannon than a nail gun. It just shoots great into everything! Other reviews saying the gun leaves nails sticking out inches are doing something wrong, either your depth adjustment is all wrong or your gun is defective from the factory. And if you need a wrench as one reviewer put it to adjust the depth adjustment knob then you're either doing something wrong or you have a defective gun from he factory, my gun's depth adjustment works easily with just two fingers to twist the knob. My gun has been shooting into pressure treated wood, douglas fir, redwood, plywood, just about everything. In fact, someone who was working with me commented "wow" when they shot it into some wood, yes it's that powerful. It has not encountered a wood it can't go through. I highly recommend this gun, and I am for the most part a DeWalt guy, but this gun blows everything else cordless away.
