          Disappointed
Very disappointed. Completely insulated garage, roughly 800 square feet. Last night it was 40 degrees, I had it on setting 5, which is the highest. It cycled on and off for a few hours and the garage barley warmed up. It's very frustrating when you're still cold and the flame keeps going to pilot mode. Very dissatisfied with this one. Called MR. HEATER customer support, they asked me to take apart the Heater, remove the thermostat, and place it in ICE! I did not buy a heater to do all that.

            Great product for the price.
I give this a 5 star b/c it is a great product for the price. We have had this for 4 years and use it from Nov through Feb to heat a hang-out area including a card table, work bench and pool table in an area about 2/3 of the 2 1/2 car wide plus additional depth fully insulated garage. It is on about 6-8 hours per day as we spend a lot of time in there. We run an 8" oscillating fan on low that is mounted behind it and under the end of a workbench to circulate the air. The low setting does great keeping temp at 69-71 degrees in a 12' area from the unit when outdoor temps are down to mid 30's and high works great down to the low 20's which is as cold as it get's here. The pilot is starting to go out on a regular basis when not in use but easy to ignite when wanting to run the unit. Actually, I don't mind this as it saves on gas not running the pilot when not in use. I discovered the flame height is adjustable through the low and high setting which helps to keep temperature stable and not having to turn it on and off so much. Had the garage plumbed for propane heater when building the house.

The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because we just installed in last weekend and really haven't had a chance to use it much. We installed it in our utility room in our barn to keep plumbing from freezing. We are putting living quarters upstairs.

The furnace went out in our brand new 5th wheel. We were in Eastern Oregon visiting my son and his family. The temps were 26 degrees at night. We bought this heater, set it up in the middle of the 5th wheel, cracked the bedroom windows, and the front windows and turn it on 1. *the lowest settings on the thermostat* We in the morning the 5th wheel was a warm toasty 71 degrees. It's far, far, far more efficient than the furnace that came with our 5th wheel. I watched as it came on when the temp dipped down, and kick off when it was warm again. *the pilot stays on* We left it on for 4 days while visiting there and it used less than half a 20 pound (5 gal tank) of propane. I would say pay the money and buy this one. The blue flame.. you don't want the ceramic one, that heats objects, this one heats the air, and the air heats the objects.
