Great for vertical planting on our deck!
This is my first experience with a vertical planter, but it was so easy to do that my 5 and 7 year old helped me plant it. We filled it with spinach, lettuce and some pepper plants at the bottom. So far my plants are doing well and I like that I can turn it to get the most sun. Watering is easy - water the top two tiers and it drips down to the bottom three.

This worked perfectly for growing herbs and vegetables in a small patio space. I cut up garbage bags and used as a liner for each tier and put in a 1 inch PVC pipe - 3 ft down the middle. I also put a drain tray on wheels underneath. I would recommend the 18 inch size. I now have 3.
