Questions & Answers
What extra blocks would I need to add a layer. want more height.
If you are in WA or OR, you can visit your local Home Depot and special order the Stackstone 4x12x8 caps in cascade blend, 8 each per layer, and 4 Stackstone 4x12x8 Caps in cascade blend. If you are outside of either WA or OR, you would need to purchase a second 39" square firepit for additional materials. Thank you
Shows assembled height as 17? but 3 layers of stones would be only 12?. Which is correct?
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer Bobo, the Mutual Materials Romanstack 39 in x 39 in Concrete Fire Pit Kit is indeed 12 inches high when assembled and not 17". Thank you for bringing the mistake to our attention so that we can correct our specifications.
Received fire pit kit with all 36 blocks to include corners. Although, all 24 wall blocks have a groove in bottom, they all have smooth tops. Did i receive all caps by accident?
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer BLC2, thanks for your question on the Romanstack 39 in x 39 in Concrete Firepit Kit in Cascade. On this particular kit, you were sent 24 caps on purpose as the instruction sheet does call for them. Upon asking for clarification, the wall blocks won't sit properly next to the corners with their ridge so caps are used in this pattern. If you need a copy of the instructions, please send email to mdavis@mutualmaterials.com so I can send it over. Thanks for helping me learn something new today!
What is the inner bowl dimension?
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer ES72893, the inside dimensions of the Mutual Materials Romanstack 39 in x 39 in Concrete Firepit Kit in Cascade Blend, Gray is 23" x 23". Thank you
Do you need to use an adhesive to keep the blocks in place?? If so, does it come with the “kit”?
You do not need to glue the blocks together so an adhesive does not come with the kit. These blocks have a tongue and groove system that locks them together. Each wall piece has a void in the bottom and a ridge on top, the caps have the void on the bottom to interlock with the wall pieces below and a smooth top for a finished appearance.
Do you need a interior liner with this?
You do not need a liner or insert with our fire pits. The blocks will handle the heat just fine and last for years to come.
