Q:Hi, what does "shell only" mean for ventilation install type? Does it mean it recirculates the air back down on the food instead of outside, or the blower comes separate, or it requires a specific type of duct, or just doesn't come with the connector? TY.

Massive industrial look
I totally recommend this hood for your next kitchen remodel. Hood arrived In a well padded box with easy to understand instructions. Took 3 hours to install with a helping hand to lift in place and hold to secure. The finished product looks amazing with plenty of power to lift the exhaust out.

Cool vent just not a good option for an 8...
Cool vent just not a good option for an 8 foot ceiling. I wanted to keep this at a height of 30 inches off the counter top since it comes out fairly far from the wall however we couldn't make it work. We could not make the turn for the 8 inch vent pipe with the vent at 30 inches, it worked at 27.

The hood looks great but it is very loud! The led lamps have already burned out and I cannot find replacements. Ordered the lamp that Home Depot recommended and it is not compatible. Went to NXR site they said my lights are halogen lights but they are clearly led and are labeled as such. Customer service with NXR was horrible. It works are really moves the orders out but like I said earlier it is very loud!!!
