Great for small spaces
I'm living in a house where the AC is on full blast 24/7. Now, I can heat up my room as much as I please! My room can get to a comfortable temperature in about half an hour, which is not bad for how small it is. And the detachable hand warmer is amazing, as my fingers often get cold. And also to note, if you press and hold the button, it can switch to a fan!

Really enjoying this little heater
Actually writing this review with this great little heater keeping me warm and toasty. I have it blowing in my face and it’s pleasant. Very subtle but definitely gets the job done. I do like the detachable hand warmer - it’s pretty lightweight and easy to hold. It is supposed to stay warm for up to 60 minutes which I will put to the test. The cord is mighty short so it is perfect for my desk or table. Has a nice feature that if it tips over it will beep rapidly. I feel the instruction booklet could be clearer in that it briefly mentions pressing the button twice to switch the mode. What mode? There’s 2 modes? What’s the difference? Also it’s a bit confusing....booklet says hand warmer stays warm up to 60 minutes and the box says over an hour. If the information/ directions were clearer it would be 5 stars.

Stylish heater with unusual features
The small heater arrived solidly packaged with some instructions on the box and some inside. I like the size and the fact that the case remains cool to the touch, much more so than any other space heater I've had. It is only 400watts; it will help heat you nearby or from a desk. It has a removable hand warmer that they claim will stay above 65 degrees for an hour outside. It seems to attach magnetically, and must be removed when the heater is heating space. I hope I don't lose it. The heater is a bit non-intuitive to me; there's a clear on/off switch near the power cord and another in the front. They are in series so both have to be on. The one in the front lights to show power or reasons it may turn off. It beeps once for power on or off. It also is used to change mode. It clearly beeps twice for a mode change. However, I perceived no difference. I even used my thermometer (pictured) for five minutes on each and it never showed a change. I wondered if I was missing something so I contacted customer service and they told me one of the modes was hotter.

The tiny heater that could!
I went into this purchase with no expectations but I am in shock with how well it works. Upon first glance out of the box, it doesn't even resemble any space heated I've ever seen. It's European modern look combined with the compact design makes it look like a speaker than anything else. There are 2 buttons, one is the main power switch located on the back of the unit, and a power button on top that toggles it on and off. To be honest, I'm not sure why there are 2 switches, perhaps it's a safety thing. So when you first turn it on, the slow hum of the fan starts and almost instantly it's pumping out a great deal of heat. The removable hand warmer is great, but according to the instructions you aren't supposed to leave it attached to the front(which does so magnetically) for extended periods of time. There really is no other place to store it on the unit so it'll probably end up in a drawer somewhere to never be used again, but it's a nice touch. Overall I'm super happy with this and currently sitting on my back porch with it plugged in next to me enjoying my first chilly day in Florida.

Cute heater but expensive
Nordic Hygge NH-VM1 1450 BTU 1400-Watt Ceramic Electric Portable Heater with Detachable Hand Warmer - is a really cute heater. It’s definitely more stylish than your typical heaters, but because of that it’s not as powerful. Up here in the northeast we live off of space heaters so it’s great for a tabletop but doesn’t replace the big guys. The hand warmer is a great idea too! It’s good for a walk outside, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a football game, stick to the hand warming packets for anything over 30 min. Overall nice little heater, little expensive but if you’re looking for a stylish option it’s perfect!

High quality and beautiful heater
For such a small heater this can really produce some serious heat and by far it’s the nicest looking heater in my home. Observations: • I love the way this looks. It has an upscale, modern look to it. It will complement any room it’s in. • Even the way it’s packaged and wrapped in a protective cloth covering (in the box) says a lot about the product. You know you are unboxing something nice. • The materials all feel substantial and high quality. Nothing rattles or feels cheap. It’s obvious some time went into the design and quality assurance. • The feet are rubber and create a quiet foundation that will not scratch any surface. • The included hand warmer is a unique idea. I’ve used it and found the heat to be really strong even after 45 minutes. The wax inside the hand warmer is a great idea. • When using the heater (and not the hand warmer) it’s best to remove the magnetic hand warmer to provide the heated air a route to properly leave the unit and heat the room. • When turning on the heater I can feel heat within a few seconds. • The unit runs quiet. The only thing I can hear is the fan and even that is quiet. This heat is so portable and perfect to sit on a desk or a table close to where you work or rest. This is a high-quality heater that looks nice and works as expected. I recommend.

Love the hand warmer
I was afraid that the hand warmer would be too hot to remove from the unit. It simply slides off, but the heater does get really hot. But the hand warmer easily slides off and can be removed with out burning your hand. The hand warmer can be heated to 122 degrees fahrenheit and can last up to an hour. The heater is really quite at less than 57 decibels. It also has tip over and over heat protection and 4 hour auto shutoff. Best of all, it keeps my feet toasty warm on cold mornings.

Decent Heat
This is a decent little heater that puts out a fair amount of heat for a small size. The approximately 2 1/2" diameter disc on the center of the front of the heater is attached via magnet and is removable for use as a hand warmer. They say that it will stay above 65 degrees for about an hour, at 56 degrees outside, I found it would hold above 65 for about 1/2 hour. It takes about 15 minutes to warm up on the front of the heater and seems to reach a temperature of about 165 degrees. It is nice but kind of gimmicky. The heater is about 5 1/2 inches in diameter and about 6 inches deep. It has 3 nice rubber legs that keep it solid and will not scratch or slide. The instructions are terrible, it mentions 2 modes but not what the 2 modes are, it seems like it has one mode for heat and one is just a fan. The instructions also say that the light will show what mode it is on, but the light didn't change when I changed modes. The light is basically impossible to see in the daylight. If you push the mode/start button to change modes it changes to fan, but to go back to heat you need to shut it off and start over. They state that you should only leave the hand warmer on the front for 45 minute, but there is not a place to store it if you don't want to use it. There is also a on/off switch on the back which is not even mentioned in the instructions. Most or all of the hot air comes out of the outside ring area on the front. The cord is fairly long at about 40 inches. It does have a tip over switch that works well and shuts off the unit at about a 45 degree angle. The ad say it is 1400 watt but it is not! it is a 400 watt heater with a rated 1450 BTU output. All in all a decent heater, but really nothing too special.

Great design, but small and not very strong.
The Nordic Hygge is a minimalistic and very modern looking mini space heater. The heater is small and probably only fully useful if used in a small area such as a cubicle or on a desk near the person wanting heat. If you're further away than 2 ft from the unit you won't feel much heat. Forget about trying to heat a room with this small unit. The outer ring provides airflow as well as the center ring, however if you have the egg attached to the unit it will block the center vent reducing space heating significantly. The hand warmer pebble is incased in plastic and I'm assuming there is some sort of ceramic or another material inside that retains heat but overall, the pebble does not last long. The little legs on the unit are made of a rubber/silicone type material which helps absorb the vibration from the fan as well as provide the unit with good grip to prevent it from sliding around. The unit runs quietly, and you only hear the hum of the fan. There is a main power switch on the rear of the unit, and then there is a power button/mode selection on the top of the unit. When pressing and holding the button on the top for two seconds, it changes the modes, but the modes are not specified in the instructions. The instructions mention level 1 and 2, as well as a respective light to showcase which mode you are in, however no such light was visible on the unit. When changing the modes, it feels like it just turns the heat off and makes it a cool air fan. I also noticed once you switch modes, the only way to get the heat to come back on is to switch the fan off and turn it back on to “reset it”, as holding the power button for two seconds to switch modes again seems to not do anything. I tested the unit auto shut off by tilting the unit forward. The unit will automatically shut off at about 45 degrees of rotation. Power cord is super short coming in at right around 3.5’

I love this cool looking heater and portable hand warmer too.
I love this personal size heater unit. It is actually two heater. There is a round hand warmer piece that is magnetic and sticks to the front of the heater unit. It is made very well and has that contemporary look to it. Just remember that as the instruction says don't leave the magnetic hand warmer on the unit all the time when it is in use. You can have the hand warmer on your desk next to it like a paper weight, and it has a nice design logo on it anyway. Yes, this unit is small that can easily sit on your desk and not look bulking at all. I like how it also has features like tilt feature when in use that it will shut down and beep constantly to draw your attention to it if it gets knocked over. By the way there is a power on/off switch in the back and there is a switch button on top of the unit if you want it to blow heat or just cool air. This is done by holding down this switch for two seconds. Its a bit wonky, but I found it easier to touch it once to turn it off, which the button turns red a bit and actually turns off in about 10-15 seconds. The other good thing is that its not noisy at all, so when you have it on, its not noisy at all so when you have it at your desk it will not be distracting at all. So the only thing I don't know is if it has a thermostat that can turn it off if its gets too hot. I was not able to determine that. So remember to turn it off when you walk away from your desk. Overall this is a fun unit and has that portable hand warmer to. The instructions are quite straight forward and simple and easy to read. I really like this unit and will fit on your desk when you need a little heat.
