Answer This Question

A:  Hi JJ, and thank you for your question. The barre is 1/64", similar to the marking of a fine point marker.

by|Jun 9, 2021

A:  Trust me...it's a very small hole...and this design is one of the best for picture hangers and very easy to use.

A:  It doesn't stick out...the disc is flush with the wall. It's a very good design and, I think, one of the best. Very sturdy and I've never had a problem. Use these all the time. Of course, if the picture is heavy, you will need a bigger one, but it tells you the weight on the package.

Q:what is the diameter of the part? The dimension given look to be a little off

      Answer This Question

A:  I don’t know the diameter of the nail but it looks pretty bicker than 1/16”. It can definitely support a 40 pound picture frame and it is rated for 60 lbs. The brass disk is between 1/2” to 3/4” in diameter. This is the simplest way and cheapest way to hang a mirror or painting. It can definitely support its rating. The question is, can the Sheetrock handle it??

I grabbed these hangers to put our key holder back up after repainting certain areas of my home. I used nails the first time around but replaced them with these. These hangers make only a small hole but sit firmly in place. The nail is driven into the wall at a downward angle. This allows the plate to rest flush against the wall which makes the hanger very secure. I was able to drive them in by hand but if you use a hammer, only tap them lightly. These hangers cost more that plain nails but they are still relatively inexpensive, easy to use, leave much smaller holes in the walls, and work great.
