Just what I needed for a clear barrier to keep my trains from falling to the floor
I needed a clear barrier to mount to the edge of the shelf that runs the perimeter of my workshop for my model trains. This worked out perfectly. I cut the sheet into 36" long by 3" strips and after drilling holes every 4 inches on one side, mounted them to the shelf that my double-track trains run on. This was needed to prevent trains from falling 7 feet to the floor in case of a derailment.

I have a dog that goes ballistic if there is a cat outside "his" window. I've been placing a baby gate across the window to prevent him from breaking the window. I found window sill protectors made of acrylic, then I cut the sheet of Optix to fit the window across the wide and to the top of the bottom half of the window. I used Velcro to attach it to the metal frame of the window. Looks fantastic and protects my window sill from scratches and the glass from breaking! Very pleased with the results.

This product was better than I expected. I needed needed a slightly different size so I had to cut them down to fit my job. The panels were easy to work with and cut nicely with a sharp utility knife.

Saved money by doing it myself but not as cheap as glass... They won't cut glass in store any more... Bummer
Replaced a broken window. This acrylic is clear and strong. It does what it's intended to do. It would have got 5 starts if it had installed itself...

Shattered after 2 bounces from basketball
I bought this to reinforce a cracked basketball backboard. It is the same thickness and acrylic glue was used for a permanent bond. All seemed perfect until it was used and it shattered after 2 backboard shots.
