1/2 in. Half Pipe Clamp with Nail (10-Pack)

These Oatey 3/4" half clamp with nail pipe hangers are invaluable. Not only are they good for copper, PEX, and other water lines, I also used some left over ones to hang bamboo tiki torches outside on my deck/patio... They are made from a good quality and are rigid enough to withstand a good beating with a hammer. The nails are strong and do not bend when nailing into wood. Well worth the investment.

It is the design of these simple pipe clamps that makes them so good to use. The cross hatching on the nail head improves hammer to nail grip and, therefore, reduces the chance of slippage and damage. The nail itself is very sturdy and won’t easily bend even if it is mishit. The body of the nail is ribbed to provide excellent grip and stability when hammered into its’ wooden support. The clamp is made of a heavy duty plastic that looks good for a hundred years or more. It is designed strong so it won’t deform under normal circumstances and the additional ribs on the inside of the clamp further insulate from vibrations. Theses clamps can be used with any ¾ inch pipe including PEX, copper, plastic and metal.

Great clamps for securing pvc, copper, or other pipes & conduit. The nails are ringed so they stay secure and do not pull out. Clamps are good for temperatures from 0 to 160 degrees F. The contractor pack of 50 is a great price. I used these to secure several lengths of copper water pipe to wood and had no issues at all. Clamps perform their function as designed and are easy to install. Oatey products are designed well and make jobs a lot easier and faster.

These ½” half clamps are well-designed and well-made! I was impressed by the use of heavily ringed nails because a ringed nail has greater holding power (see picture – not all clamps I have used in the past have this great feature). I was also impressed that the inside of the half clamp has raised strips for a better grip on the tube or cable that the clamp will hold (see picture – plastic clamp form is very solid as well). While these are advertised for use on ½” pipe, I used them successfully on a smaller diameter coaxial cable and while it held the cable, it did not crush or damage the cable. Handy storage in a clear plastic jar that is easy to read and holds the 50 half clamps for good access (see picture). These half clamps have a lot of uses around the house. I highly recommend them due to the great design and the high quality built into the clamp!

I am replacing my cast iron radiators with radiant heat using PEX. I had used another brand of these when installing new PEX water lines, but I found the nail was slightly too short for the hand-hewn timbers. Also, the clip was a flexible plastic, which tended to bow, and sometime break, with the weight of the water. These, the nail is plenty long and the hard plastic clip seems more durable.

The Oatey 3/4 in. half clamp with nail is a handy pipe strap. I got the contractor pack. 50 pieces. I can use them with copper,pex and cpvc pipes that I have in my house. The clamp fits 3/4 in. pipe. They are easy to install and hold pipe very well. I think I will get a bunch more and replace the clamps I now use. These clamps are made tough and are of good quality Happy with this product.
