Q:Can this be screwed to a floor like a traditional flange and how long is the extension? I?m trying to bypass a chip in the top of an old cast iron pipe at about 7.5? to avoid a real big project. Thanks. Also, would a traditional wax ring work.

Bathroom remodel replacement toilet flange
This worked very well when I removed my old ceramic floor tile and ended up with the glued toilet flange sitting above the subfloor. I cut the old flange slightly below the subfloor and dropped this piece into it. It anchored to the subfloor easily and the toilet is good and tight to the new tile flooring. The inside dimension is smaller so when I set in the new, non-wax, toilet seal I was concerned with how it would work. The manufacturer of the seal told me what to do and it worked fine. This unit has a tapered pipe so you can adjust the rubber ring to give you a good seal inside your drainpipe.
