WaterGuard 1 gal. Clear Exterior Wood Sealer

Unless you want your wood product to look like a clown color of bright orange I would look elsewhere. The initial color was a mix of pink and orange and I had hoped the orange would fade some as it dried. It did not. Now half of my real cedar wood fence looks like an orange fun house color. If you notice in my images it almost matches perfectly with the orange fake plastic wood that is used for my neighbor's swingset. Very unhappy and I hope this weathers quickly so I can fix it next year.

Just used it so not sure how well it will protect our Fence and Patio. It was easy to apply, the price is crazy High, but what's not now days. Excited that it went on clear. Looks pretty.

Prepped with their deck cleaner and stained it last summer. This is what it looked like within after a couple of Seattle rains. Just awful stuff.

stains black after first exposure to rain. applied as described. now need to remove, sand and hope it comes off. there goes 3 days of my life. ogg representative says it's my fault.

No matter what you do Mother Nature will always win. Spend, work, and clean to protect a deck made of PT wood.now days is a waste.. Concrete is the only answer to get out of constant maintenance.

I can assure you what people are saying about color being wrong is one hundred percent correct in my case. Acorn brown. That is a no for me. More like orange. So another customer stuck with and orange deck. $$ down the drain. Sad before and after pics below.

I had to switch after Thompson's ruined their product. This works great. Seals well and lasts quite awhile. I have over 2000 sq ft of deck, and this stuff keeps it from getting too old before its time.

I used this to protect the cedar boards used to build a new fence. I laid them flat to work on them because the product is the consistency of milk. I could not use it on an existing fence because it would just run off the brush before it made contact. I won’t know how well it actually works until we move into Winter weather but it looks like it penetrated so I am hopeful. The wood does look richer with the coating.

It didn’t work for my fence. I did apply this product in a new fence and 4 months after this is how it looks

After prepping deck according to directions, one container provided the perfect color. Completed all trim and was very happy. Began applying to floor boards of deck and it is VERY RED. Color is NOT at all like previous container. All say Acorn Brown. Also, very streaked. Seems more solid cover than semi-transparent. But most importantly, color does not match! Now forced to strip deck, prep, and re-stain. I'm too old for this and have already spent a lot of money. So disappointed.
